Game today with Wigan is massive, really need Spuds to do em. Then we can relax a bit more and stuff the Mackems, a team whose supporters I respect immensely from 74/5 and 80/1. their team is likely to be along the lines of Minnolet, Colback, Carlos, O'Shea, Rose, Johnson, Larson, Some big black french lad, Mclean, Graham, Sessignon. FFS, that is a pile of shite, even our shite aint that bad. They were lucky at Newcastle and Everton should have sneaked a draw last week. Lets chase every fecking ball, dont give them time and our superior class will tell

That same pile of shite has been above your "superior classed but not as bad shite" in the table for the majority of the season marra!

Easy Tiger....you have been hanging on every word today.....remember...you can't participate on a rival fanzine without expecting some form of scrutiny.....granted it appears you have had a tot....but O'Neils side will get beat on monday. Alreet?

;D  Time will tell marra, time will tell. We'll see you in the Arena!  ;)

Did you enjoy the arena Davey?

I said after the Newcastle game you were lucky and got carved open by them but got through with the ref and 3 screamers. Everton for some reason thought attacking was not to be done against you, but you must be worried about DiCanio over a full season? He just seems to say bizarre things that if results are not falling, will alienate players very quickly.
We are still well and truly in the shit.
And the biggest one of all, Sessegnon out for the remaining games leaving us as toothless as we have ever been.

Yep Davey, losing Sessegnon is a massive blow. He seemed to be getting his form back as well.

Personally i think your defence is the worry. When we went 2-1 in front last night, i said to the others that i could see us getting another couple but i was'nt expecting 6. I also thought that we'd concede again at some point but for once that did'nt happen.

I think Di Canio will keep you up. Where you'll go from there with him is anyone's guess.

We're down where we are because of shite defending, but always looked at least half decent going forward.  Sunderland last night reminded me of us at our worst this season - start decent, but heads drop when you go a goal down (OK, 3-1 down in this instance) and then the floodgates open.  I think they'll just be OK, as will we, but both teams need to improve to not be in it agin next season.  I don't micro analyse other sides, but for us the key to that is to stop shifting daft goals.

Lescott, please.

I hope you stay up Davey at Wigan or Newcastle's expense obviously. Stoke would have been just as nice for the horrible football they play. You are a credit to your club and always great to have you on here. I fear for you next season though. As you say, you are sitting on a timebomb with Di Canio and it is only a matter of time before it kicks off, particularly if you show signs of struggling again.

Ideal scenario for me:

We're safe before the Wigan game, Wigan need a point from us to stay up and send Newcastle down. We give them a point.

Sending The Geordie Nation down again would be fun, but we've been there, done that.  Going up there and making Dave Whelan weep on national television would be far better, for me.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, but the thought of having the fate of both of those clubs in our hands is something I wouldn't even have considered at half four on Saturday when Wigan were 2-1 up.

This. I hope Lambert let's them enjoy the win for the next couple of days but towards the end of the week reminds them that the job's not done yet.

Davey, we have been there a few times ourselves this season. Of Villa, Sunderland and Newcastle, it's Newcastle who are now most in danger.

That win last night felt like a 3.5 points in the bag for us.

To be fair, we've shipped a few soft goals but the defense, as aging as it is, hasn't been overly bad up until last night. My main worry is a lack of quality and pace throughout the side.

Your last sentence is exactly how i feel.

Didnt think I was being disrespectful of Sunderland as a club, far from it actually, but I stick by the comments that the team is shite and even our shite aint as bad :)

Emphatic Victory last night apart, league table still shows otherwise. Though i concede with losing Sess i can't see this staying this way for much longer.  :)
