I was saying we were in for a relegation scrap as far back as last July when many other on here were in the midst of celebrating yet another marvelous "young and hungry" signing from the lower leagues.

The chance, he has done a few times in the last 24 hours, to say I saw the doom coming, and have subsequently bleated about the doom for months, and now I am justified in my clever doom predicting ways, is so much of a joy that it appears outwardly as if he enjoys the misery and being able to tell us all how shit we are, day in, day out.

Again, you're suggesting I get some kind of perverse pleasure in a Villa defeat. Please don't insult me, I'm a Villa fan of 40+ years and live and breath the club. As we will be safe before a ball is kicked against Chelsea, we may well go into the finall game where a win would stick an extra million or so in the bank or a loss would keep Wigan up and maybe, just maybe, relegate Stoke.

This weekend is huge. Tottenham beat Wigan, us to beat Sunderland and they'd be a 6 point gap. Couldn't see Wigan coming back from that. It really is the biggest weekend of football for Villa in years.
