We are still level on my forecast. Three points dropped unexpectedly, but also three points gained unexpectedly.

I have us down to beat Sunderland and Wigan and draw with Norwich, leaving us safe on 41.

So, Wigan get 0 points at spurs - remain on 31 points
Win at the Boggies - 34 points
Beat Swansea at home - 37 points
Lose at Arsenal - emain on 37 points
Draw against us - total 38 points

We are on 34 points now, with the point against Wigan that is 35.
We would need 4 points (to be sure with GD) out of Sunderland/Norwich and Chelsea.

I'm ok with that.

I think Wigan will get a point at the Albion tops and wouldn't be surprised if they fail to beat Swansea given what is happening three days later.

Wigan to drop for me, Stoke to come 17th and us 16th/15th depending on whether we beat Norwich.

Stress will be eased after the Wigan Spurs game come Saturday evening.  Further relief will be felt Monday night.

I certainly hope so, ideally we'll beat Sunderland, Norwich and Chelsea and can relax on last day.

Remember GT MK11, Sunderland home i a must win relegation clash near the end of the season.
This year's Marcus Allback will be Darren Bent.

A Wigan defeat on Sat and a win for us on Monday would make a massive difference.  This time next week the world could be a much better place.

Quite frankly Darren Bent should have been given the second half against Man U  as we had already lost.

1. To give Benteke a rest for the crucial games ahead
2. To get Benty up to speed should he be needed off the bench in these crucial games.

Lerner/Lambert don't want him anywhere near the team because they're desperate to get him off the wage bill. In their twisted world it's more important to get him off the wage bill next season than it is to stay in the Premier League.

I reckon they will beat West Brom and Swansea. Swansea have been on holiday since they won their cup final in February while Albion have been on the beach since they drew theirs in January. Hopefully Wigan's own cup final will act as a distraction for the Swansea game but I've no confidence in those Yam Yam twats whatsoever.

If we beat Sunderland we drag them and at least one of Norwich or Stoke (they play each other) back into it. So let's do that.

That makes no sense whatsoever. If he was banging in the goals it would help us flog him and we'd get a better price. Time to go back to conspiracy theory school.

Yeah and it would make it even more difficult for them to flog him in the summer. Imagine the uproar from the fans if they tried to flog him after a successful goal scoring season.
By the way I'm not the only one to think like this. Ask Matt Kendrick at the Mail and find out who he's been speaking to.

I'm sure if PL thought that by playing Bent we would stand a better chance of staying up he'd do it.  He may well decide that next Monday is such an opportunity, however I doubt he'd compromise his principles.  After all, if we did go down it would go against his reputation and put his job in jepordy as you would expect.

I doubt he's talked to anyone who actually knows though, i.e. Lerner or Lambert.

Every year we get a player who is out of the side who a section of fans think if only he was playing all our troubles would disappear.

Bent and Benteke can't play together, in my view. They want to make the same runs and take up similar positions and end up just getting in each others way. I think most people who have watched us would say that, of the two, it is the correct decision to play Christian.
