And in reality it's 6 from 3 games. We'll get nothing at Man U or against Chelsea.

Not closing that game out yesterday looks like a bit of a pisser after the Sunderland result. Squeaky bum time for the next five games.

Newcastle doing us no favours then. Thanks a lot Fabian, you useless fuck

Not useless, unlucky. Delph has been our best player in 2013.

An unfortunate fuck maybe but our most improved player of 2013 without whom we may well be sunk already...

Think that sunderland's result today was down to a coincidence.
The 'new manager bounce' with Newcastle's 'no idea really' streak.

And, it was Newcastle.

Hope you are right. I am really nervous about us at the moment.

I would back us against Sunderland were it not for frankly appalling Monday night sky record.

It's worth stressing just how pathetic Newcastle were today.

Sunderland didn't really look much better. They deserved to win by virtue of the fact they were better than Newcastle, but Newcastle were utter dross. So much so that I immediately reevaluated my previous decision they weren't in a relegation scrap.

Sunderland also scored 3 screamers. They were not threatening even. Newcastle lost their heads.

History doesn't always repeat itself.

Me neither. Proving I can be contradictory when it suits, historically, there seems to be a shock positive result each season, so I'm hoping for at least a point from these 2 games.

We shouldn't rule out points against Chelsea and Man U. But if we're dependent on them then we're in a whole heap of shit

Keep it tight against United, i.e. don't come away with a bruised goal difference and play for a point against Chelsea and I'd back us to be on 38+ by the time we go to Wigan. And, as I have said before, they are only Wigan!

In January it looked like we would be relegated before the Wigan game. As things stand the worst case scenario is that we will need something on the final day. Back in January I'd have snapped your hand off for 34 points at this stage! And our goal difference has been steadily improving. That said we'd be looking pretty safe now but for stupid errors (Clark against Man City, Baker against Liverpool).

Just seen the goals agreed all screamers the closing down was poor for the first 2 though and the Newcastle offside goal was a shocking call by the linesman,

Positives - we are still 1 point ahead on my original forecast.  Negatives, just have this horrible feeling we have peaked too soon.......and the target for survival keeps going up.  I genuinely think two more wins will do it.  With Wigan playing Spurs and Arsenal, can I see them winning all 3 of their other games, no, so us avoiding defeat there will seal it.  I am fearful however.
