Because Spurs are on the way to Wembley, Ossie's knees have gone all trembly...oh.

I'm sorry, going out to a lower league team will always be humiliation in my book.

Although I see what you're saying, I think what Brian's pointing out is the the way media report it.
How can Millwall - Villa be a humiliation, yet Leeds - Spurs only a shock?

Because Leeds are a "massive club who belong in the premier league".
Thats not my view, but its a stock line for any number of people in the media.

Away to an in-form Millwall on a Friday night is a tough tie no matter how well you are doing in the league.

If you call winning 2 of their last 7 league games "in form"

Dod you say that when it happened to O'Neill? Or just about every other manager?

Surely that's irrelevant?

Norwich
Liverpool
Tottenham

Any others this weekend?

Whitley Bay, favourites for the FA Vase and have won it in the past two years, were knocked out by Brantham Athletic.

To be honest I wouldn't call it humiliation. It's a blessing in disquise. I think we could do without any extra games right now.

I think it has some bearing on how the results are reported.
Leeds have also had some pretty close run games
with Arsenal over the last few years and knocked Man Utd out a few years ago.

That may be another reason why them knocking out premier league opposition is reported
as an upset rather than a humiliation.

I think its a perception thing.
Leeds are almost expected/fancied to get a few decent results and have a cup run.
Milwall by in large aren't.

Although I'm sure anyone who has watched us this season, probably did fancy Milwall
to give us problems.

These posts underline how sensitive many have become over the state of things at B6.  Call it what you like, but any way you look at it this was yet another result that isn't acceptable.
