It's scary how much more talent that Newcastle squad has than ours.
we have more potential and also they more mercenary. I prefer what we have.

If Dunne was even 50% fit I would start him and put Clark in the middle with Delph and Westwood. Charlie in behind Bent and Benteke.

Totally agree with the thinking behind this. Watching Brentford, Leeds and Oldham yesterday what was most striking was how they tackled, blocked and harried all day long, didn't given their more vaunted opposition the time and space to play.

Bearing in mind the fight we're in, our midfield is the opposite of this. We let the opposition play, we rarely try to disrupt their rhythm with tackles, challenges, mistake inducing harrying.

If the midfield is something like Bannan, NZogbia, Ireland and Holman we have no chance. With Delph out I'd play a defender in centre midfield, Clark is probably the best bet, because if we let Cabaye, Sissoko and the rest run the show with a powder puff midfied, it's over.

Result; 1-3 if it's a midfield without tacklers and hounders, 1-1 if we stick a defender or two in there.

What i see Lambert doing is having a middle 2 Ireland Westwood. then Nzogbia roaming with Gabby andi on wide with benteke up top.

Yeah either Baker or Dunne has to come in, Clark is a major liability now.

All I can see him doing is stating that he needs to pick them all up and go again. Sorry, but I'm getting tired of this approach. Please prove me wrong, Paul.

Too many forwards in that team which would leave the midfield woefully exposed again.

We had all five on the other day. Plus Bennett is a liability.

What other options do you see , delph and herd injured, bannan, ireland , holman all crap.
Midfield is shockingly poor.

At least weimann and gabby would track back , ireland ponces about and i dont want bannan in the team at any cost.
