I just want someone to give me a big hug and tell me everything's going to be ok.

Well I can do that if you want but if you try to rub your stiffie into my crotch I'm off.

Oh come on Dave, 2.30am, a few blue WKDs inside you while the DJ puts on a Barry White number to finish the evening off, you know you want to!

Would'nt Minnie Rippington's 'Loving You' be a better bet?

I think Newcastle will give us the old 5.2 diet.

Let's hope they are on one of their fasting days.

That would be" Ripperton", please Clampy, unless a northern lass from Oswaldtwistle did a cover version.

Those corners are only 'overhit' because there is never anybody past the far post coming in.  They are all in the six yard box getting in each others way while a defender heads away. A quarter of the pitch wasted.

But.....if there isn't anybody on the far post coming in, why is he putting the ball there??!!!??!!

Fabian Delph has joined the injury list but Dunne and Baker are making good progress in  recovery. Benteke will be back up front.
Ireland and Bannan will compete to start with Westwood
And 2 from Agbonlahor Weimann and Holman

Newcastle haven't won at Villa Park since 2006 when Charles N'Zogbia was on their scoresheet in a 2-1 victory, and we have have won 4 of the last 5 encounters @ home.

And we are actually undefeated against Newcastle in 5 home matches -Likes this :)

But can't the players think for themselves? You would think one of them would see what's happening and take a punt on making a run round the back.

Newcastle to win 10-0 with an own goal hattrick by Paul lambert who plays himself and hammers them past Guzan screaming "Who's in my army now? Whos in my army NOW???" Before he is dragged off screaming by the mascots, the lioness having to pummel him into silence as he shouts obscenities at the crowd.

or we could win/lose by the odd goal. I have no idea.

Well I wish I'd thought of that one when I was playing. Every time I mis-hit a pass (often tbh) I could have said "don't blame me, it's your own fault for standing in the wrong place"

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is set to unleash his contingent of new French signings at Aston Villa on Tuesday night, while Paul Lambert will be attempting to arrest his side's alarming slump in form.

Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has been ruled out of the match with an ankle injury, while Lambert has to decide whether to risk a recall for central defender Richard Dunne, who has started training after a lengthy lay-off with a groin problem.

The Scot will also check on the fitness of utility defender Nathan Baker who has returned to training after a hamstring injury.

Provisional squad: Guzan, Given, Marshall, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Lichaj, Stevens, Baker, Bennett, Ireland, Westwood, N'Zogbia, Bannan, Holman, Benteke, Agbonlahor, Bent, Bowery, Weimann, Burke, Johnson, Williams, Carruthers, Dunne.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew will include four of his January signings in the squad for the game.

Midfielder Moussa Sissoko is likely to start at Villa Park along with full-back Mathieu Debuchy, while defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and striker Yoan Gouffran could also be involved and 20-year-old full-back Massadio Haidara will travel, but will not feature.

Midfielder Yohan Cabaye (groin) is fit and striker Papiss Cisse is expected to shake off a training ground knock, but although full-back Danny Simpson (broken toe) and utility man Ryan Taylor (knee) are back in training, midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa (hamstring) is still several weeks away from a return.

Provisional squad: Krul, Elliot, Debuchy, Santon, Perch, Williamson, Coloccini, Yanga-Mbiwa, S. Taylor, Sissoko, Gutierrez, Anita, Cabaye, Bigirimana, Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Marveaux, Cisse, Shola Ameobi, Gouffran.

But we are talking about Bannan's corners which seem to consistently land 8 yards from our nearest forward.
What you said reminded me of when I used to watch Peter Withe train. In his mind his knock ons, passes and flicks were always to the right place, he used to give everybody so much stick for not being there

It's scary how much more talent that Newcastle squad has than ours.
