Maybe Randy doesn't want to invest in new players this January because his patience with Lambert is wearing thin and doesn't want to give money to a manager who he thinks might not have much time left.

If he thinks that he needs to sack him, now.

He has two choices, as clichéd as they are, back him, or sack him. Dithering between them and keeping the manager with no funds will see us relegated, guaranteed.

Spot on apyadg, back him with money or sack him .

Lambert needs to go if we lose this I'm afraid - we are going down as things stand
Who in their right mind would replace him?

I'm up for it...

for me his job depends on this half time team talk
I think he will walk tonight.

I don't think he should go, but, looking at recent results, and the fact there has not been a single sign of things getting better for weeks now, it is really hard to argue that he should not at least offer his resignation.

Get Holman and N'Zogbia off and bring on Bannan and Gabby.
We are as threatening as a half delated balloon.

The most frustrating thing is the occasional bursts of very neat football indeed. They have ability - there's just no focus, no calm determination, no direction. It's actually horrible to watch.

Holman has been near invisible.

Things looked more rosy when Mcleish was in charge. Now that is saying something.

For people saying to forget the penalty, they hadn't created a chance until that, I'd guarantee it'd still be 0-0 if he hadn't given that.  Yes we've not played great but neither have they and we'd done enough to deserve to be level for me.

Shocking referee, always gives shit against us and has done it at a critical point yet again.

What's happened since the goal is what we'd expect from a team with no confidence, yet again midfield are too deep so we have, effectively, 6-0-4, means we can't keep the ball and end up punting it up to Benteke and asking him to control the game for us.  Someone needs to drag Delph and Westwood 10 yards further forward andd nzogbia and Holman 5-10 yards back, we'd be much better for it.

There are no positives at all. None

We cant defend, cant score, cant keep possession, shit at set pieces both attacking and defending.

Utterly utterly fucking terrible, for the first time in my villa supporting life I am 90% sure we will be relegated

And lose the compensation. No chance. They all love screwing us over.

I think there's no chance at all of Lambert walking out.

This sport rewards failure when it comes to management. He can quit, due to some sense of normal human decency and self respect, or stay until he's sacked and be given millions of pounds for being shit.
