Was Given laughing as the second went in or was that my eyes deceiving me ?

More a grimace I think, could Delph have done better on the line with the 3rd goal?

Probably, he went for it, but managed to only jump up about 3 inches. With that, and Bent's miss, you have to wonder if gravity works differently in Bodymoor Heath.

Here's a bit of advice Joe, don't put an exclamation mark after 'Still hard to take last night' it makes it sound like you're joking. Oh and play like a professional footballer.

Also, 'Still' hard to take. It's not even been a day and you Villa players embarrassed the club and its fans with your display. Believe me a lot of fans are certainly 'still' hurting.

In fairness to Bennett, as bad as he was (and he was was poor) he was one of only a few to come over and clap the support last night. Regarding his twitter post, he did'nt have to post that i suppose.

He's a 22 year old lad who's been thrown into a standard he's clearly not ready for yet. Don't even say that "It was only Bradford City" because that's a very ignorant, narrow-minded approach to take, there are players much better than ours that would've struggled out there like we did.

At least he's shown he's upset we lost and clapped the fans. He's not going to get any better with the world on his back.

He did and got quite a bit of abuse for his effort.

24 hours on and it still hurts.

It was a dreadful evening all round. Traffic was a nightmare in Bradford , which meant we had to beach the car about a mile away and run to the ground.

Got there at the same time as the coaches arrived , which meant the worst crush since Swindon away in 1988 to get in the ground. I was literally pushing people to keep them from crushing my 9 year old lad. Having said that, the guys near us were great on the whole and made sure he got in ok. Thanks if you are reading this.

It was the same at half time - too packed on the concourse- took 20 mins for 8 people to get served - which annoyed an already pretty vexed bunch of fans.

As for the game - we should have been home and dry after 20 mins - benteke missed a bunch of headers and their goalkeeper had a blinder.

But this is possibly our most embarrassing defeat - coming just weeks after our record defeat. The facts don't lie. We are in grave danger of relegation - and this is not the year to go down with the increase in TV revenue from next season.

Lambert needs to find a formation and stick to it.

He also needs to sign some experience - quick. This week - NOW.

Sod Wembley , I am more bothered about staying up.

That said, an early goal in two weeks and who knows ..............it's just whether we will keep a clean sheet that will ultimately make the difference - and I have zero confidence of that.

The first bit of advice I'd give to Lambert right now is to stop calling O'Neill.

I am really puzzled by last night. There must be something of a siege mentality setting in at VP.

Lambert seemed to pick 7 players for one half of the pitch and 4 for the other, with the main means of joining the two together being a big boot of the ball in the general direction of Benteke.

It makes no sense at all. It's a waste of Benteke's talent and is probably the one tactic most easily dealt with by a div 4 outfit.

Add in the fact that several players put in less than sparkling performances meant that we really were asking for it.

The 4 up front meant there was very little space to run into, made it easy for Bradford to mark them and us completely confused as the 4 were all going for the same ball. Weimann, who's been in great form recently was stuck out wide, making him invisible. Gabby tried to mix it up by dropping deeper and moving inside which was a smart move and I couldn't understand why he and not N'Zogbia, who was playing for himself, was brought off. Bent came on to add to the confusion. Hoofing ala MON seemed to be our only tactic thereafter.

It was a complete mess. Why Lambert thought N'Zogbia was needed from the start, I've no idea. We completely lost our real attacking strength and made things so difficult for ourselves. Tactically, it was right up there with the worst days of MON, something I hoped we'd seen the last of.
