I'm still flummoxed on why Lambert felt he had to go out all attack a side who had previously beaten Wigan and Arsenal .I thought it showed a complete lack of respect to Bradford. We got everything we deserved today.

I'm beginning to think that's all he knows.

'The manager is too  attacking' who'd have thought we'd have heard that after last season?

Don't worry lads, we'll Tranmere them!

I'd like to congratulate Joe Bennett on being completely outclassed by League Two opposition for 90 minutes.

Yeah, he really is shite.

Well, I'm starting to lose a bit of faith in the manager now. It's starting to look like he doesn't know how to organise or motivate the players. Plus we need signings, desperately. Where are they?

Bennett appeared to have been told not to go forward as he constantly hung back when he could have given us width or an attacking option. If that was the case why not play Lichaj who seems to be the better defender.

A pity our goals for record, League Cup aside, is fucking dreadful.

Lerner this is our club and always will be so start listening and then have the balls to front us and tell us what your plans are! We've had 3 seasons of absolute crap and still we pile through the turnstiles in hope more than expectation. You let O'NEILL spend the money, you appointed Houllier, you appointed Mcbluenose and you appointed Lambert. This club is leaderless from the top to the bottom at the moment and we are being treated like idiots that should just pay up and shut up. Lambert, your tactic's ain't working, your interview's uninspiring and your team selections are baffling to say the least. Bradford's the limit, total and utter disgrace and there can be no excuses. You promised us football when you came but all we are seeing is hoofball, no width, no direction just moving from one disaster to another. Either step up to the plate, both of you or do one as we've had enough!!!!

Just back and apologies for not reading the whole of the thread.

Defence and midfield poor, especially both full backs who never offered anything going forward in support of midfield nad were weak defensively.

Attack - curates egg.  Created loads of chances and we could have been way in front before Bradford scored.   Made their (I suspect) inept goalie look good.  Benteke in particular frustrated with his dives, wayward finishing and poor defensive work.  Was Bent really injured or was he still pissed off with himself for missing an open goal?

I can live with the fact that we lost to a 4th division side because from what I saw tonight I'm convinced we'll win overall..  which should shut the idiot on their Tannoy up with him booking a hotel for Wembley and all.

Not a great night for sure, but if we look at the game itself and not the disparity in supposed ability then there's nothing to suggest we can't put this right.

As a football supporter I am very happy for Bradford fans tonight. They are a good club with some history. They have had absolutely crap time of late however today has been good for them. Their supporters were a picture of joy in and around the ground before the game , during the game and obviously after. Good very good memorable night for for fans. Sometimes this is how it should be.

Apart from the tosspot Bradford supporter at Forster Square station who laid into me as I made my way to the train saying "you've got shit all over you in that team".  There really is no need for this he was an old bloke too just no class.

Six decent pubs and a curry. The only things that ruined a great day out were the most humiliating result since 1874 and a PA announcer who should be prosecuted for incitement.

I'm not a violent man but i would have glady hit that pitch side announcer with a brick.

Just got back. Bloke on the tannoy with his jokey co-commentator, a message to you. You're a 4th division side and you've have had your night of glory. Now, cancel that hotel room, because you and your poxy outfit's cup dream will end on the 22nd Jan. Mark my fucking words.

However shit we are, and we are fucking shit. The Villa will wipe the floor with Bradford at Villa Park.

Joe Bennett had a nightmare, but he and Matt Lowton were the only two players to show appreciation to the massed ranks tonight. The rest of them turned their back on the fans and I mean, purposely ignored us. Disgraceful.

We'll still get through to the final.

Given - not much he could have done beyond Christ-like miracles.

Lowton - really poor, as he has been for a few games. Positionally he seems to have no clue, and he looks leggy having played so many games.
Clark - looks less and less like he'll make it. Terrible how he lost some of his aerial duels.
Baker - was often forced to defend more desperate situations than he'd have liked due to the deficiencies of others. Not his fault, basically.
Bennett - real garbage, never tight enough to the man in possession or marking the most likely receiver of a pass, never in position, always on his heels, looked stoned out there.

Bannan - some missteps but created almost all of the chances which we should have scored. Should play further forward where he influences the game more.
Delph - utter and total waste of space. Disastrous performance that was like playing with 10 against 12. Horrible.

Agbonlahor - just not enough from a supposedly Premier League player. Held the ball up okay, but his touch is nowhere near good enough, he plays with his head down and just generally looks deficient.
N'Zogbia -  looked like the only attacking midfielder who might cause problems. Created more openings than made mistakes and worked hard enough. Again, not his fault.
Weimann - out of position so hard to judge, although he again showed that killer instinct in front of goal we otherwise lack so painfully.

Benteke - how many chances can you miss? Holding up the ball and all that against a League 2 side is the minimum you expect from a striker like him - his finishing was horrific.
Bent - wasn't on the pitch long before the injury curtailed his involvement, but f**k me he should have buried that headed chance. Jumped too early, which is just a weird thing to do.
Burke - can't judge, though he worked hard enough, as you'd expect.

Overall, this is a dark night. Things need to change and fast. The game looked like Bradford were the ruthless top-tier side and we were the plucky-but-toothless minnows. It was pathetic, the latest in a growing line of humiliations, and it's all getting rather too much.

Really? So the players don't give a fuck about their performances or that people are missing days from work and spending a lot of money to turn up to see them. It really isn't good enough. The chairman's shit, the players are shit, performances have been a disgrace to the name of the club, yet the only people that care are being given the cold shoulder by those who are doing nothing but taking and not delivering.

Is it really the most humiliating defeat in our history? Hot on the heels of our heaviest...Lambert, you're one brave mother.
