Fuck it, we'll twat them at VP.

Maybe we will but its only papering over the cracks- I'd fear what Chelsea would do to us at Wembley.

Why not Swansea?

Because Chelsea will beat Swansea!

Staying up now is the main concern and we look appalling - I cannot see anything but saints beating us.

Really hurts this.Villa mean so much to all of us and we seem to be nosediving into an abys.So not looking forward to work tomorrow.Anyone else have trouble sleeping worrying about our once proud club? for what it's worth I'd play Stevens at left back, but the options look very limited for Southampton.

I think at times like this we really need General Krulak to come on here and calm people down with his explanations of where and how Villa are improving.

hysteria is so much more fun than sober reflection. It's half time; They were at home in front of a packed house that they probably have only experienced once before knowing that this in all probability was their one chance in their careers of glory. They played out of their skins. At VP our lot will be playing for their professional pride and a shot at redemption; they have to give it all and more again and will feel that complacency kicking in - they can't help it. We're the Villa - we've been here before and triumphed.

Once I've sobered up tomorrow, this will be my hope/expectation aswell.

They played out of their skins.
That's just it: they didn't.  They didn't need to.

As far as Villa cup shockers goes, this is right up there with the worst of them.

The romantic in me says, remember Tranmere 94?

The realist in me tells me that I actually don't think the current team has what it takes to raise it's game and stage the sort of come back.

We look dreadful and are getting worse.

The pies are very, very rarely cold now.

Just like they should have beaten QPR?

@AvfcMysteryman: @AVFCStupidlee as I have been saying the ice is thin and Randy is not going to take this! That is why no money for Lambert

Funny, I thought he had been saying we were buying 3 or 4 players in his other tweets.

Parkinson reckons we're still favourites. I can't see it. I think we've blown it. I can't see us keeping a clean sheet in two weeks time - opponents are just putting the ball into our area and we fall apart, teams are scoring goals very very easily against us.

Do you know the bit I hate at the moment? It's when you wake up in the morning, dreading work and then you remember the fucking score line from the day/night before.  And it's happening a lot lately.

I'm just very very sad that my beloved Aston Villa have come to this.
Lambert looked like a dead man walking to me, so here we go again.
