@AvfcMysteryman: @AVFCStupidlee as I have been saying the ice is thin and Randy is not going to take this! That is why no money for Lambert

FFS eastie, give it a rest, it's bad enough you regurgitating this bullshit in the transfer thread without spewing it here, too.

In the lobby waiting for them.

I hope you've got a couple of bottles of piss ready.
If I did that will be twice tonight as some fourth division players have pissed all over them already earlier!

Thought I'd wait a while before I posted anything since it's hard to hit the right keys with clenched fists.

We seriously lack leadership of any kind at the moment. We need some - or at the very least one - experienced pro directing, encouraging, shouting, keeping them positive. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I could see the outcome coming way before it actually did. They played some good stuff and had the bad luck to concede a jammy goal, but immediately they visibly lost confidence. They got geed up in the interval and started well, that is until Bradford scored again. Same thing happens and it deteriorates into frustration and an exhibition of hoofing, which really just amounts to giving the ball away.

We just don't have anyone who can put their foot on the ball and calm things down and give everyone time enough to remember how they should be playing. I don't think Ron can do this, leaving just Dunne if or when he is fit, who might help to a degree, but in reality I believe we must buy someone of this ilk as soon as possible. Sadly, on this showing, it may already be too late.

Who thought a long ball game against a division 4 sidewas the game plan needs shooting.

No midfield so no back 4 protection or help, no wonder they look under pressure.

I really thought we'd moved on from the clueless tactics but you're right, who'd have thought.

Would not be surprised if Lerner pulled the trigger on lambert whatever anyone else thinks, at the end of the day it's lerners money and he stands to lose a fortune if relegated.

By the way.  Didnt like the look of PL's demeanour in the post match interview or indeed during the game.   Has he been sacked already?

Does he have a defensive coach on his staff? If he doesn't, he needs one fast, and if he does he needs sacking. We are conceding the same type of goals every week. It goes much further than inept.

Even average players can be made organised with the right coaching. You watch crosses come into our box through your fingers at the moment. Just awful.

Who else would you have put in the squad?

A third? I suggest you do some maths. In addition, it's not that easy to just sign players.

Was tonight good enough? NO. Is it the end of the world? NO

What on earth do people expect? We're at half time in a cup semi-final. We've had a shit first half but with some composure could easily have been winning by the same margin ourselves.
I think what people expect is that with an owner we're all supposed to think highly of, and with a manager who we're all supposed to think highly of, and with a squad of young players who were all supposed to think highly of, we might just be able, without having to rely on luck or our opponents playing badly, to beat a side in League fucking 2.  Not too much to fucking ask is it?

My only consolation is how shit must Ipswich feel losing to us?

OK, so it's not much consolation.
