I suppose it's a question of taste.

Which humiliation do you prefer.  Humiliated away at Bradford or humiliated at Wembley in the Final.

I'm afraid these are the realities of the Villa right now.

I really worry about the affect this will have on our league form. Having been battered we got a decent result at Swansea and then Ipswich. This should have pushed us on again and it is possible it's going to sink our morale again to new levels.

They are the most spineless bunch of players I've ever seen. Also if Lambert says 'we're going really fine' I think I'll be sick.

Bennett should not play for Villa again. He is not good enough for our club.

He might be good enough in the future, but he's nowhere near up to it yet.

I doubt if he ever will. Meanwhile when he's in the team he's a liability.

Never mind the cup. If we defend like that we are going to get relegated. In bottom place. It is as simple as that.

Fabian Delph played crap and got booked. Who'd have guessed that?

Bent muffs a sitter and hobbles off in embarrassment.

Hollywood Bannan drifts through another game having offered absolutely bugger-all.

Defensively we are an accident waiting to happen.

This is my lowest point as a Villa supporter and I've seen some sh*t over the years. Our ineptitude is total, it's stupifying.

I misread the name as Bannan. Could easily apply that to him.

I assume this is what the post match thread would have looked like in 1994. I pray the ultimate outcome is the same

Look at the team from 1994 though:

Bosnich
Cox
Barrett
Teale
McGrath
Townsend
Richardson
Houghton
Saunders
Daley
Atkinson

Top, top quality in every area of the pitch.  Our central midfield and entire defence these days are nowt but a bad joke in comparison.  Still, an early goal in the home leg and who knows.....

Yes and they went to a lower league side and were losing 3-0 until deep into stoppage time. Your point is?

I jut don't get Lambert. Where are his strengths. He's tactically poor and he just can't motivate players.

Quite our defence and defending from the midfield is as bad as I've seen at any level.

Bannan can get sold to forest for all I care. Everytime I've seen him live he has been useless! Overrated by a mile.
Bennett, I said earlier that warnock was worse, I'm now not sure.
Delph, how much did we pay? Jesus wept
Clark - worst Villa captain ever

Fkin fed up of the Tranmere posts, we had a decent team then, tranmere were a decent team then, oh its Tranmere its Tranmere
No it fukin isnt Its a half arsed team with a useless chairman putting out a team of players that realy should be no where near wearing A Villa first team shirt
Same here, i agree. other than the score there is no comparison between then and now.
We also had a certain Mr. Atkinson in charge then.

Is it just me or is there a lot of overreaction. Bradford must be doing well to get this far and they have have just knocked Arsenal out. Bradford's keeper wins man of the match and the majority are saying how crap we were.

Like to see Warnock start in midfield at the weekend.

Lambert should be sacked, disgusting

Calm down for goodness sake, we never do it the easy way. Had we taken our chances we'd have probably come out of this with a draw....

That's the problem - We SHOULDN'T EVEN BE CONTENT WITH A DRAW AGAINST A DIVISION 4 SIDE!!!

What the fuck has this club become! Kids not good enough. Manager not good enough. Owner not good enough!

League cup final is gone - We may score a goal or two at VP but there is no way we will keep a clean sheet with that shower!

We have become a laughing stock. Unless Lerner pulls some serious cash out of his pocket this month, and Lambert stops spending the 90 minutes tickling his balls in the back of the dugout, there is no way we are going to survive in the Prem, let alone claw back this tie!

Bennett is not good enough...

still young so maybe he needs to go out on loan but shouldnt be in the side this season for sure.

There keeper did not keep them in it... if it had been a south american game and the keeper had let any of those shots in I am pretty sure it would of resulted in him being shot!
