Great win for the Bears and if we'd had better luck with injuries and international call ups we'd have challenged for the title. All ifs I know but we have been desperately unlucky.

As for Surrey it's incredible that a side that has contained at one point or another this season Graeme Smith, Ricky Ponting, Kevin Pietersen and Hashim Amla has gone down. Maybe they should concentrate on home grown players rather than showcase signings. Laurie Evans is thriving at Edgbaston and didn't get a look in at the Oval.

Here's what Cricinfo say about him, it's not much!

Stuart Poynter

He looks about 14 in the picture...

Bears 120-5
Javid Ct Poynton b Groenwald 46
Woakes 17
Poynter man in.
Javid playing at one down the leg side. He was dropped by Poynton twice so i suppose we are lucky he got to 46.
Got a bit of faith in Poynter sending him in before Barker. The lad has been offered a contract by Durham for next season. BUT he is out 4th ball ct & B Groenwald 0 120-6. Terrific effort from Groenwald.

Looking like Derbyshire may stay up after all, Nottinghamshire fighting back against Somerset.

Well Sussex have got Durham all out for 164, so 3rd place looks regardless of whether we win our match.

Champions Durham ain't done us any favours all out for 164 giving Sussex 3 bowling points, bearing in mind we ain't got any yet and for us to finish above them we have to get 2 more points than they.
About to get our first batting point plus Woakes has his 50.
200-7 59.3 overs
Woakes 53
Patel 25
Partnership of 52 highest so far
