thanks for all the updates - they are much appreciated.

this is shaping up to be a good game if the rain holds off tomorrow (and we can find a couple of fit bowlers to support Jeets !)

Stumps at Trent Bridge because :
Bears 271 All Out
Chambers LBW Fletcher 4
McKay 3
Fletcher 5 - 52
Notts require 211 to win
A great days play but maybe Bears fortunate to have such a lead with Samit Patel dropping 3 and Hales one....but as they say ..That's Cricket
Now it's all in the hand of the weather gods!!!

Weather looks a washout on Friday - highly likely to be a draw now which isn't a disaster. Can't quite believe our bad luck this Summer!

Stumps at Taunton as well where Derby are 127 - 4 requiring a further 117 tomorrow
Surrey 212-9 require 173 only 1 wkt left not stumps so i assume Middx claimed the extra 30 minutes.

Interesting day day tomorrow at Taunton if weather holds off.

Could have been an interesting day, Nott's needing 211 to win on a 4th day wicket. Would have made them favourites, with our depleted line-up, but it could have gone either way.

Happy with a draw though.

I agree, a Notts victory would have left us on the edge of the relegation scrap.

Certainly no play before Lunch.
So i'm listening to Somerset v Derby who are 177-5 Chanderpaul 44 and Hughes 23 require 67 more.
Interesting though Kieswetter replaced behind stumps by Alex Barrow. Kieswetter now on to bowl his off-breaks.

Derbyshire 195-6
Hughes LBW Leach 33
Cha-paul 51
Still require 49.
Gonna be close from a purely selfish point as a Bear i suppose i want Somerset to win but as a Midlander who likes to go to Derby would like to see Derby do it.
48 reqd now Poynton off mark
Kieswetter experiment lasted 3 overs for 14 runs

Latest at Trent Bridge is that covers were taken off about an hour ago umpires were gonna inspect again at 12:30 but prior to that drizzle once again started so covers are now on. Lunch interval has been taken. Forecast to clear up later this afternoon.
Notts will be hoping to get 30-35 overs i suspect.
Meanwhile at Taunton it is now:
225-8 19 req'd but Chanderpaul was dropped a couple of overs ago by Meschede. His bum obviously squeaked!

Must be regulations but for fcuk's sake - Derby require 6 Somerset require 2 wickets and umpires take 'em off for lunch at 12:45, when lunch should have been 12:30....just don't understand the logic!!!
