Bears remain in 4th on 8 points from 8 games
Somerset 3rd on 8 points 7 games
Worcester 6th on 4 points from 7 games
Glouc 5th on 4 from 8 games so in effect out of it....gonna be hard to knock Glam and Northants out of top 2.
Fixtures for us, Somerset and Pears are:
Bears home to Worcester & Somerset MUST win both
Somerset away to Gloucester, Worcester and Bears
Worcester home to Somerset and away to Bears and Northants
If we win both on 12 points so i assume we need Worcester to beat Somerset which then knock Somerset out of frame us having beaten them.

Gonna be tight!!!!

Stupid question, but will you be able to pay on gate tomorrow?

Come on you Pears, though my mate will be supporting the Bears.

Assume you mean Friday? Can't see it being a problem if PGW's attendance guess is correct. The ground holds 25,000.

Yeah Friday.

Went last year and it was cancelled due to the rain. Weather meant to be fine.

I'll give them a ring tomorrow still not sure how many of my pals want tickets. Can you just sit anywhere or will you have to stick to your seat if it's a big crowd?

I believe you can sit anywhere, unless you're going posh.

On Sky too, so get your catching practice in.

There were several announcements throughout the evening saying that people with a current match ticket  could  buy a ticket or the Pears game for £10.

Javid owls Marshall in first over.

Sounds painful. Or erotic depending on your viewpoint of owls.

Bumper crowd set to see if rivals can be tamed

OLD rivals Worcestershire will stand in the way of the win Warwickshire desperately need when the teams meet in the Twenty20 tonight.

With the weather forecast mercifully set fair (the Bears are certainly owed a few dry big-occasion days) a 10,000-plus crowd is expected at Edgbaston.

Most will be willing Varun Chopra’s side on to record the victory which would keep them in the hunt for a place in the quarter-finals.

Victory over Gloucestershire on Wednesday kept their hopes alive and further wins against Worcestershire tonight and at home to Somerset on Tuesday could well squeeze the Bears through to the last eight.

As always with the current format, it is a complex equation. The top two teams from each group will qualify, along with the two best third-placed teams.

In theory, Warwickshire could even make it through with just one win from their last two games but that is very unlikely. Defeat tonight, against a Worcestershire side already out of the qualification picture, would be a huge and probably terminal blow.

In the midst of the extravangaza of T20 thrills, meanwhile, during the interval tonight will be a bit of fun from a mascot race.

Bears mascots Carmen and Hugh take on Bella the Lion (Aston Villa), Beau Brummie (Blues), Wolfie (Wolves) and Sky Bue Sam (Coventry City) in a “sprint”.
