Looks like we have to bat our way out of the crap again. I was worried on the first day that not only would we take a belting, we'd get docked points for producing an unfit wicket too. By the sound of it it's not that bad.

My son is as happy as you are, Chris.

I didn't have particulary high hopes for Yorkshire this season as I realised we would be without Root, Bairstow and possibly Bresnan for a lot of the season and Sidebottom seems to pick up a few injuries but the new bowlers have started well and everybody is chipping in with runs particulary Root and Rashid. Think Plunkett could have a good season as he hasn't given up on  playing for England again and a fresh start could kick start his career again.

I always look out for Plunkett's figures because he seemed to go from bad to worse over the years, 5, 6, 7 an over regularly.

He started this season the same way but seems to have pulled it round in recent weeks. There are a lot of people in front of him in the England pecking order though.

Yorkshire 407 all out, Rashid 110 not out, a lead of 279.

Warwickshire 9 for 3 in reply just in case anybody was wondering.
