Sounds like Westwood may have broken his ankle. Bad luck continues.

It's not just bad luck, because those getting injured are the ones we are relying on. Why can't some of the shite ones get injured instead, there's plenty to choose from.

Lambert spoke of his concern at the extent of Ashley Westwood's ankle injury, picked up in a nasty tangle with Michu.

Westwood will get checked out by the medical team at Bodymoor Heath later.

Asked whether it was serious, he added: "It looks it at the minute. It's his ankle. He's hobbling about.

"It will be a blow if he's out because we have too many at the moment.

"We have some lads at the training ground too. Hopefully we can get one or two of them back very soon."

If they are letting him walk around on it, it doesn't sound like a broken ankle. Most modern stadia have a medical room with X ray equipment to check. Still not saying he won't be out for a while as it could still be tendon or ligament damage.

Not sure it's quite as bad as a broken ankle is it? Wasn't he hobbling around?

I had a nasty accident playing football once ("Never!" I hear you all cry). Tore all my ligaments, tendons, muscles etc around my left ankle. The doctor at the Manor who X-rayed it told me I'd have been better off with breaking it. It's never been the same since. Still troubles me now and I did it nearly 20 years ago.

Calmed down enough to post (hurray!).   Now, that first half was as bad as anything else we did against Wigan, but the second was much better.  We were aggressive and high tempo and looked half decent going forward.  Still awful at the back though.  Clark isn't a entre half without a dominant hard bastard next to him.

It was a real kick in the nuts to lose a goal late on, but the scoreline overall still flattered us when you consider the woodwork action they had in the 1st half and their general dominance.
