Risso and Rip you are both utterley pointless.. just feck off.

If I remember correctly, you're the poster who was defending the mindless idiots who went down to Villa Park to protest about McLeish being appointed.  I think I'll therefore not enter in a battle of wits with an unarmed individual, if it's all the same.

Yeah Southampton is a monumental game now. Really need to beat them but they played very well tonight against Arsenal.

Didn't see the game until the last 10 minutes ironically enough. Where did the 5 minutes come from?!

I was wondering that, I'm guessing from Westwood's injury. According to the beeb it was 97 mins in the end but the goal could account for the extra on top as well.

Not sure it's quite as bad as a broken ankle is it? Wasn't he hobbling around?

I had a nasty accident playing football once ("Never!" I hear you all cry). Tore all my ligaments, tendons, muscles etc around my left ankle. The doctor at the Manor who X-rayed it told me I'd have been better off with breaking it. It's never been the same since. Still troubles me now and I did it nearly 20 years ago.
Bloody hell. I thought you were younger than 75 Leeg ;D.

And for what it is worth i thought we were lucky not to be four or five down by half time. Strengthen in January please or else we will possibly be in the mire come the last few weeks of the season.

Goal was scored right on 94th minute, think it was 94.02 or something so we may have just hung on if it had been the standard four minutes, maybe not.

Sounds like Westwood may have broken his ankle. Bad luck continues.

Sounds as if Michu did him and ref let him off.

Nothing deliberate from what I saw , there was a tangle of legs and he fell awkwardly.
Certainly wouldn't say michu did him.
Just unfortunate, not deliberate in any shape or form.

Have we got a video?
YES, WE'VE GOT A VIDEO

Watching our outfield ten warming up, I had to remind myself that I wasn't watching the youth team. They need the cavalry to turn up pronto. Had swansea been a little more clinical up front in the first half, a continuation of our recent run would've deservedly been ensuing. Second half, the grit and determination was admirable. Definite penalty for the handball by Bennett, so shit refs do work both ways. Ironically, I think the mentality of throwing everything at anything in our box cost us, just prior to their equalizer there was a shot which Herd threw himself in the way of. I reckon it would've gone wide, goal kick, run down the clock, job done.

Our next Premier League game isn't for 13 days then, more than enough time to get in some signings and perhaps a replacement for Westwood on loan (if his injury really is that bad) in time for the Saints game.

I'm trying to remind myself not to overreact. When we went a goal down it felt like te world was about to end. When we equalised I felt like we'd just won the cup or something.

It's bloody odd. Like manic depression by proxy.

Yep, the Westwood replacement is probably the most important one, given that surely Vlaar and even Dunne, plus Baker, must be on the cusp of a comeback?

think they panicked at the end. Not surprising really given the circumstances. There was some evidence that Lambert is getting them organised and now they can see they can get a result following his instructions hopefully the 1st half display will be banished. Can't be too hard on them because make no mistake that was not a premiership team put out today in any shape or form. Lerner should hang his head in shame that he's let our squad get into this state.

Definite penalty for the handball by Bennett, so shit refs do work both ways.

In no way was it a definite penalty, watching the replays it was impossible to tell one way or the other. Ours wasn't a penalty either.
