Keep faith based on what though? sorry there needs to be something from the club and consecutive massacres does not inspire faith.

Most of the injured players aren't good enough either in all honesty.

We really don't look like we'd score if we played until next Christmas.

Collymore's tweets are really giving Randy hell. He is really putting the boot in. We must be the worst run club in the League.

Why what's he saying?

That e don't have a PL squad and you need a mix of youth and experience. If quality leaves it must be replaced by quality, Luke Young, Barry, Ashley young, Downing, Milner all left for big money and were never replaced. We sold Cahill on the cheap. He actually said we need to invest or die (which is way OTT).

PL I think you deserve to stay and buy some players in Jan.

BUT I NOW HAVE MY BEADY EYE ON YOU!

I think he should offer his resignation after a run like this.

I think and hope Lerner would reject it, but in doing so, he absolutely must then back him properly in January. Big, big style.

If he's not going to get backed, if he's not going to be allowed to buy anything other than low wage players, then we're going down, it's as simple as that.

100% agree with all of this
I 100% disagree.  This manager can sort us out if he is given the resources to do it.

The fucking idiot was given more than most managers in the summer, on top of a team that even Mcleish managed to keep up!  3-0 at home against Wigan after an 8-0 and 4-0 - he's got to go, if he's got an ounce of decency he'll resign, he's clearly not up to the task.

So you sack him tonight.

Then what?

Two days before the window opens, what do you then do?

It's easy to be righteously angry, especially when there's reason for it, but it's much harder seeing a way out of the mire we are in.

The only thing that would rubber stamp our relegation more than not spending in January would be to change manager right now. I can't think of a more daft thing to do.

I can't think of a more stupid thing to do than retain a man who is performing so woefully.  Our worst ever start to a season, our worst ever defeat, the worst goal difference in the division, conceding two goals a game on average, hardly scoring any, and a run of three games where we've conceded 15 and scored none.  Face it, he's hopeless, and we'd be better off with just about anybody else.  Alan fucking Curbishley even, anybody.

We are doing a fantastic job of making ourselves a fucking laughing stock.
No one outside of villa gives a shit about young players, injuries ,or inexperience.
They don't see the 'big picture' or the development of a long term plan.

They just see a club that is in freefall, shipping goals and looking a shambles.
Frankly, I'm starting to feel the same.

Collymore just tweeted this

Arsenal 27th Dec 2009 Friedel - L Young - Dunne - Cuellar - Warnock - A Young - Petrov - Milner - Downing - Gabby - Heskey.

Even allowing for Heskey, compare that side with the side today and you see the problem straight away.

I think a fit Dunne and Vlaar all season would've have formed a good solid defence and been a steadying influence on the defence, so in that sense Lambert has been very unlucky. I do question our medical staff and fitness methods though.

If we sack the manager now we will go down.  PL is a good manager who if given time will turn us around in a couple of years, not months.....

Agreed.

Any talk of PL getting sacked is just a hot-headed knee jerk reaction from angry fans. To be fair it's understandable but that doesn't mean it's sensible.

It is going to be a long hard slog, but if Randy is there today which is rumoured it may help convince him 20 million or so to the manager might be useful.

3 games in such a short space of time, with the massive defeat of Chelsea has hurt. Vlaar out, Baker out from half time against Spurs meaning 7 goals since he was out.

Bennett looks like he will be ok to me. Lichaj and Herd are not good enough in the slightest.
