I want a fucking apology from every single player that represented Aston Villa football club on that pitch this afternoon.

If I dont get 3 points vs spurs - there will be hell to fucking pay.

I want all the wages for the players docked and a refund given to all the away fans who went there today.

I want the players to come in on Christmas fucking morning training with nothing other than a win for the home fans on Boxing day.

Lambert your motivation went to pot today, I cant have the excuse that they are a young team, the same players went to Anfield and won!

No Aston Villa team should ever be thumped 8-0 unless theyre playing Brazil 70' or Spain 2010'.

This is the worst defeat in our history, you players should be fucking ashamed of yourselves. Wankers.

Shell Shocked. Gut Wrenching. I want to fucking puke.
big statement, what you gonna fucking well do if we dont win? Some big time slagging off, how you gonna back them words up, i fail to see?

Some big time slagging off? What do you expect to do, applaud them?
you said there will be hell to play unless your demands aren't met. I want to know what you are going to do?

Oh I see.

In Remy land, Im going to write a strongly worded letter and send it to Bodymoor Heath, Im going to cancel my pre-order of the season 2012/2013 dvd, Im going to watch and rewatch my 1981 league winning video till the pain stops, Im not going to name my next child after ANY of the current players anymore etc. etc.

Will you also start attending Sty Andrews. Please.

Our team lacks mental strength.   Our team is mentally fragile

Our players need to be talked to long and hard, by professional sports psychologists if necessary about developing a mind set which in effect says "I am an Aston Villa player, I wear the glorious colours which have faced and withstood the best players in the game over 138 years.   I am not going to cave in.   I will stop you, whoever you are."  Our young players need to learn to strut and swagger and to walk the turf of Villa Park and everywhere else as though they own it.

The main thing we lack is experience in the middle of the Park.  You can have all the shrinks you want but without it days like today will happen particularly against such quality.

Repeating "Cool wet grass" a few times in the changing room beforehand wouldn't have helped them.

While I'm fully behind what Lambert is trying to do (as our previous two results before today indicate) losing 8-0 is unacceptable so I can understand people being very angry particularly the ones that forked out 55 quid to watch that two days before xmas.

But remember after being trashed 5 at City we saw a response.

Let's see what the response is by the end of the Swansea game.

When all these people slagging us off will be teling us how great we are (it always comes back to David O'Leary's fickle comment).

Know what you mean. Coming from behind to beat Norwich and beating Liverpool away was nothing but shocking mentality. How dare they go to Anfield and dig deep and win. How dare they come back to win 4-1 against a team who'd been on an amazing run that included beating Man Utd. No dignity. Nothing.

Just in from the match, got a ticket in the Matthew Harding lower (amongst their choir) as soon as they noticed I was neither standing up let alone cheering any of their goals I was quickly found out. Abuse changed to pity quite quickly, though on top of it all I remain firmly behind PL and what he is trying to do.
I haven't read any of the posts here thus far but I hope we are in agreement that with the young squad that we have - the best thing PL can do is tell them all to forget about this one off battering and focus 100% on beating Spurs on Wed.
Up the Villa!Well said mate ! From your uncomfortable matchtime position you have given the best perspective so far. WE have two choices , slaughter the "babbies" who through no fault of their own represent us, or do as you suggest and give them our total support. That takes a shedload more class and "balls" than supporting the likes of Chelski.

Most kind, thank you

Remy. We are angry, frustrated and disappointed. It us alright making big bold statements like there will be hell to pay but that if all you are saying. There isn't a lot we as fans can do. That us the point. We can demand the managers head, to sack the board. But not a lot else, I say there should be a wall of silence to greet the players when they exit the tunnel and their effort in the next game be the reason for our coming back on side.

A wall of silence is not the answer, these players are young and hopefully hurting as much as the fans, we need to get behind them on Wednesday and give them our full support, they have plenty to prove and hopefully will redeem themselves and give us a Boxing Day to remember.

Close. I typed 'St Andrews' for an H&V many years and didn't notice the extra 'y' until  it had been printed. It seemed appropriate.

Rafa Benitez offered Villa words of encouragement after their heavy defeat to his Chelsea side, insisting: "Paul Lambert has good ideas and will improve Villa."

Benitez's Champions League holders comprehensively saw off Villa at Stamford Bridge, hitting eight past the men in claret and blue.

The Blues turned on the style to move back up to third place in the Premier League.

Fernando Torres continued his resurgence with a towering third-minute header to set them on their way.

And a stunning David Luiz free-kick and Branislav Ivanovic header gave them a strong lead at the break.

Frank Lampard marked his 500th Premier League start by crashing home a fourth on the hour and two strikes from substitute Ramires, an Oscar penalty and a fine individual effort from Eden Hazard rounded off the scoring.

But, instead of immediately hailing his own impressive side, Benitez took time out to applaud what Lambert is trying to do to improve Villa long-term.

He said: "It's never easy when you concede so many goals. You feel sorry for the other team but we are professionals.

"I will say something that is strange for some people to understand but I think they were doing really well in terms of the way they were moving and their gameplan.

"I could see it was good and it was difficult for us to counter it. We had to work very hard to control them.

"Obviously when you have a young group of players and you play against a top side, it's not easy.

"But in terms of what they were trying to do, you can see that the manager has good ideas.

"He will improve the team. They will be in a good position."

that us d fair shout. However displeasure should be shown I never believe in putting the team down of booing but they should be made aware of our expectancy for a better performance.
