Alrady a couple of comments about a defeat in the 18th match of a 38 game season being the end of it for us... really.

Yes it hurts to take a battering like that but it doesn't suddenly make us favourites for relegation.  Moan about the performance today by all means but lets not over react and start calling for all the team to be replaced or any other similar nonsense.

Ouch... ups and downs... we'll probably win the League Cup now.

No good if we get relegated. We are deep in shit. Eighteenth is there for four or five clubs to fall into and just look at our goal difference.

Fuck me. One minute we're winning the cup and staying up, then after one loss we're going down. If you went to the games you'd know we are not going down.

If ever there was a time to get completely and utterly battered I suppose it was now - with the transfer window looming - hopefully this will make Lerner & Co sit up and realize investment in the team is a necessity.

Murdered by a strong, quality and experienced midfield. I wish Lambert had changed it at 3 or 4 to four at the back.

Expected us to lose but not like that ..very poor to give up out GD advantage over the rest of the teams down there like losing another point in honesty

I agree, perhaps the last two games were a false dawn, because today was more than a wake up call.

Look, we're all really disappointed. But people saying 'bannan should never play for the club again' or similar comments. Come the fuck on!

The thing is it could easily have been double that score and you couldn't have argued.  We are in deep deep trouble.

If anybody over Christmas offers me an After Eight they can expect to have the box rammed down their throat.

Well played, Brad. The rest of you have a lot to learn.

Chelsea showed what happens when you spend a fortune on world class players and they click during a game. They were unplayable for most of the game. Fortunately we won't have to play them every week.

Chelsea were well and truly up for it today, although that doesn't excuse the scoreline. Still, there's no need to panic. We won at Anfield last time out, and won at Carrow Rd just before that. We're capable of good performances, but away from home against the big teams our inexperience really shows. Our youngsters are good, but when you're playing the best in the country you need some experience and nous, and we need to strengthen a few positions yet.

When people say this will be a season of ups and downs, this is presumably what they meant. Bit of a big fucking down today, though.

Had Liverpool scored first last week the result would have been very different
