The most hilarious moment yesterday was on 606, scouser rang in demanding Mourinhio Is appointed and given £150-200m to rebuild the club.

And he was being deadly serious.
there was another good one on who said he was liverpool thtough and through and loved them with all his heart said he was very disappointed as yesterday was his first visit to anfield and he had gone there with a full father christmas costume on so he could get shown on match of the day but villa's win ruined his palns. What a wanker!

MOTD was an embarressment

Why?

Considering how little of the ball we had, I thought pretty good highlights were shown. They emphasised how the defence improved as the game progressed and then Alan the arsehole even said that Benteke's performances was the best he's seen by a centre forward this season.

What more do you want them to do?

I thought MOTD was overall pretty good. They talked about the Villa being good rather than having a scouse crisis conversation. There was talk about how we got organised at a the back after a shaky start which provided the basis on which to then go on and win.
Benteke was acknowleged by Shearer, comments along the lines of that was the best performance he has seen by a centre forward anywhere all season. They also mentioned about them being one of the youngest teams around.

I'm the first to slag the programme off (see earlier post) but to be fair, they didn't pull the usual stunt of commenting from the more popular teams perspective. You could tell that Lawro didn't know too much about Big Ben, using the "not just a big man" cliche and calling him "honest".

Pity he's not so forthright about the integrity of Suarez.

It's Weimann's work rate above anything that makes him stand out for me. Yes, he has good skills and knows where the net is but he's trying to cement his place in the side, trying to make himself undroppable and he's going about it in the correct manner.  For Gabby to get back in he will really have to produce.

We're still a bit raw in areas but we're improving game by game which is great for confidence with two tough games coming up.

No I heard that, he even made the tv comment a few times. What a shame.

My Dad was taken by a mate with a season ticket in the Annie Road End and said all the Liverpool fans were great - I think the ones in and around the ground normally are, and he was really impressed by their Petrov-19th minute applause.

Was up early with the boiler banging and my head banging from last night , having drank too much watching MOTD and sky game of the day twice and now have water gushing out of my pipes.

classic performance yesterday , everyone was brilliant and it was not as if we beat a shite Livepoo team , as I think they would have beat most teams yesterday , we were just class and better in all departments on the day.  Baker and Clark tremendous .

I think I had a tear in my eye on the second goal , it was that good , pure class.

The result cements we are not going down and we will move up the table and the future looks good , its just great to see the lads with the confidence and no pressure to play their football.

I also think we look better without Gabby in the team .

Match verdict , class       MOM   Benteke

Yes he did get quite a bit of stick, with 'what a waste of money' thrown in as well.

The People also have Kenwyne Jones in their Team of the Day, no room for Benteke. They did pick Clark and Baker though.

Yes, I heard that absolute tosser as well. I'm so sorry little old Villa spoiled his plans for the guaranteed win he assumed was on the cards when he decided to wear his costume. The worst thing about Villa winning is persuading myself to listen to programmes like 606 and Talkshite this morning which I normally avoid when we lose and which are plagued with some of the biggest idiots to ever 'follow' (and I use the term loosely for many gloryhunting bindippers) football

Just a side thought on Liverpool and Downing - he was £20m and Johnson was £17m, so forget money wasted on Carroll, what other mid table team has FBs costing the best part of £40m??
