That RAWK lot are a deluded lot.  There's a few on there who have a clue what they are on about but in the main they know nothing outside what they see on TV or read in the papers.  Villa are a poor side are they? a Villa side that are now unbeaten in 6 is it?

They're mainly a bunch of muppets from Thailand, Norway or the Home Counties who haven't got a clue what they're on about.  They get fed a load of BS about how Liverpool are a footballing monolith, ready to take the world by storm, ignoring the fact that (bar a flukey European Cup win, in a season when they weren't even the best team in their city) they've been largely irrelevant for the last twenty years.

Listen to the prick on the radio saying they should get rid of Rodgers and bring in Mourinho.  Just about says it all.  They're in a very similar position to us right now (though their academy isn't a patch on ours) and the best thing they can do is give Rodgers a bit of time.  With a bit of luck, they might be able to challenge the top 4 in a few years if they can hold on to their decent young players and get rid of all the overpaid tat like Mrs Downing.

Very true. The most important thing is perspective, we need to keep our feet on the ground as much as we need to not get to down after a tanking. But it's been a while since I've genuinely liked our squad this much.

From Red And White Kop!!!

"Poor defending for their goals, Credit to Villa they defended well

We need to learn how to play against these "park the bus" counter teams"

Can you believe their arrogance.

606 is priceless, some bindipper saying they should get Mourinho in.......snigger

They are so incredibly deluded and living in the past.  They don't seem to realise that they're not even a top 4 club any more, let alone one that Mourinho would give a second thought to.

They are, but I must be a bit stuck there with them, because I just love it when we beat them.

Paul Lambert on Anfield win.

Paul Lambert hailed his Young Lions for the way they swept aside Liverpool, saying: "They deserve every bit of credit that's coming their way."

Lambert was absolutely thrilled with the attacking impetus of his side, characterised by the performances of Christian Benteke and Andreas Weimann .

But he also praised the defensive power of the team's dynamic back three of Chris Herd , Ciaran Clark and star man Nathan Baker .

Lambert hopes this result can now be a springboard as Villa eye movement up the Barclays Premier League table.

He said: "I thought we were outstanding again. We are playing really, really well at the moment. I thought we were fantastic.

"We looked a threat with Christian and Andi up front and I thought we deserved to win the game.

"The back three lads are just getting better and better. Look at the age of them. Collectively we were outstanding. The back three lads were absolutely brilliant.

"The group deserve every bit of credit that's coming their way. They have been absolutely brilliant since I have been at the club.

"We have been fantastic. I can't speak highly enough of them. They have given it everything they have got. Hopefully now we can continue to climb this table.

"Also I thought it was thoroughly deserved. The goals were outstanding - especially the second goal which was world-class move and the finish was excellent.

"The lads have been unfairly criticised - they are too young, they won't stay up, that sort of thing.

"But at the end of the day, there's a long, long way to go. I have the belief that these lads will go out and perform.

"Their energy is second-to-none, they give it a right good go but they are also a threat. I know what I see every single day.

"The lads have been great. I knew what I was getting. I just needed a bit of time for them to get adjusted. They have been absolutely brilliant for me."

Lambert stopped short of saying the Anfield victory was the best result during his time in charge of the claret and blue troops, insisting instead that he's been happy with the performance levels since Sunderland.

He added: "Best performance? There have been a few!

"Since Sunderland we have been very, very good. We couldn't hold on against Man Utd but the performance was very good, Man City turned us over and we were excellent against Arsenal.

"I have been delighted. You can see from the crowd reaction what it means. They were unbelievable on Tuesday. Today they were great too."
