Vlaar still out, that's a blow.

Another opportunity for our young defence. Baker and Clark have looked solid the past few games.

True, but my fear is they're both a bit injury prone as well. We're looking very light at centre back. We could really do with Bennett being back as well.

Vlaar unlikely to be fit, gabby a doubt. Not sure about the left backs but I presume still out. Edit: q actually both left backs seem to be ok

Unsurprisingly, Lawro has gone for a 2-0 to Liverpool.

Aside from the obvious Scouse-arse licking, does he EVER predict an upset?

Yes. Liverpool winning 2-0.

Will be interesting to see whether he sticks with the 3-5-2.

I expect a tight game but Liverpool to win.

I reckon he may stick with 3-5-2,especially if Gab is out. so maybe it'll be,
Guzan,

Clark,
Herd,
Baker,

Lowton,
Westwood,
Bannan,
Delph,
Lichaj,

Weimann,
Benteke

Enrique could be out for them,so hopefully weasel face could be at lb for them,Lowton should fancy his chances if so.

If Lambert decides to forsake the result and play Benteke right wing just for the sheer comedy value of it, I think I could forgive him!

Now that I would pay to see.

You could stick Wee Barry out on the right and it would probably have the same effect.

has lawro predicted us to win any games at all this season? Got to be honest, i would take a draw

Yes 2 but he also predicted QPR to win 7! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20715607 (see bottom)

Of all our front men as potential partners for Benteke, I think Weimann stands out. I think the way he plays and his technical ability could really work well. He's got great potential and right now we could get a lot of joy partnering him with an on fire Benteke, as the Norwich game showed. I'd stick with that. Andy works hard too, gets in the game. He filled a wide role reasonably well, but he's a striker firstly.

At the back, though Vlaar is still out, I'm quite confident in Herd, Clark and Baker. In fact Ron has a lot of work to do to usurp any of them if they keep it up.

He must be losing his touch. He has forgotten to include his obligatory line about how "Villa are a selling club."
