They're not the side they were and whatever their fans think, the table doesn't lie. I fancy 2 1 to us, Holman and Benteke. Gerrard for them from a penalty after Suarez trips over a blade of grass that was just a bit too long.

Anyone know if Vlaar is fit for this one?

The classic lesson was learnt on merseyside - if a scouser asks you the time , never answer as the midlands accent gives you away.

It's their oldest trick for finding out away fans.

Wily Scousers, eh. I bet every other football hooligan in Britain has never thought of that one.

The 77 away win at anfield (2-1 Gray x 2) is still I think the game that made me fall in love with the club. I remember sitting watching MOTD as a kid with my mom, mesmerised that we'd won there and then I had that beautiful kit for Xmas and didn't take it off until about July.

Did we wear the all white one that day with the claret and blue piping? I loved that kit and wish we still played in it.
Yes the white Umbro top with light blue shorts.

I've been away and not managed to actually see the last few games.
Are we now lining up 3-5-2 every week and ditched the 4-2-3-1?

In fairness, there were quite a few balanced views on that Liverpool forum, many of them gave us respect and were highly praising Bentekke, and one summed up our generally differing views from theirs on the likely outcome very aptly as 'One set of one-eyed supporters in failing to understand optimism of other one-eyed set of supporters shocker'.

For any of you staying up there tonight, I've just been told by someone "who knows" that the boys are staying at the Crowne Plaza at John Lennon airport tonight if you want to go along to try and get some autographs.

Unsurprisingly, Lawro has gone for a 2-0 to Liverpool.

Aside from the obvious Scouse-arse licking, does he EVER predict an upset?

Being as the date this coming Saturday is 15th December; older fans will remember 15th December, 1976 when we trounced the 'Pool 5-1 at Villa Park! If the omens are correct, it'll be 1-5 to us! However, realistically, I reckon a hard-fought draw 1-1. But, you never know!!

Probably the best first half of football played at VP.

The best second half would have to be (for me) collymore's 2 goals contributing to a 3-2 win over arsenal.

To be fair it's probably a fairly likely result. Obviously I'm hoping we hammer them, but it's not an unbelievable prediction.

Or even a draw? He has us down to be to lose every week,no matter who we're playing

Think that was Joachim and Dublin, not Collymore. Although if I remember, he came off the bench and played incredibly well.
