Oh sod off. Why should we not be proud of that performance? I'll say it again: the Mancs' team cost ONE HUNDRED A SIXTY MILLION in transfer fees alone. About eight times the transfer value of the Villa team, not to mention the vast disparity in wages.

OK, so we lost having been in front. Utd fought their way back, as they have on various occasions this season already. IIRC, so far they're the team that's collected most points from losing positions.

At least we gave it a go, put together some excellent attacking football and actually scored some goals. Makes a change from last year, when damage limitation was the best we could hope for.

What the fuck??

Tosser.

In fact I was in a bar in the centre of Prague in my Villa top getting abuse from loads of plastic Man U fans, I don't need to get any from you.

I will not ask again for there to be no insults. It will be a straight ban. Hopefully that is plain enough for no one to be in any doubt about it.

Based on that performance, we'll win more than we lose.

??????

Ok, we played ok first half, 30% possession at home is good I suppose but that capitulation does not suggest that we will go on to win more games than we will lose this season.  Benteke was good today, as was Clark imo but I think your statement is way off.

They absolutely battered us and it could have been 5 or 6.  God how our hopes and expectations have fallen if people think that was good.  There were some positive signs granted but they were by far the better side.

er battered us. NO they did not batter us

64% possesion to our 36% (As the away team)

16 shots to our 10

Hit the bar twice

Won the game 3-2

I would say they that absolutely dominated us, especially in the second half.  Still, believe what you will.

Edit: Perhaps we are talking about two different games?  Cos the one I watched saw Man United come at us in wave after wave of attcak until they scored enough goals to win the game.

er what about the first hour? they did not Batter us.

Manure are a finished article, we are a team 'hopefuly' heading in the right direction. I could pick faults with every player, BUT im a fan and thought we did briliantly for an hour. Gutted to lose, especially to them, BUT that is why they will be in for the league, and into at leats quarters for wurope, WHAT did you expect of Villa today

17 and counting

The possession stat has always been a cack one and proves very little. Shots isn't that much better, clear cut chances, which isn't a stat they produce, is probably a better indicator. Teams can dominate possession and go nowhere, how many saves did Guzan have to make? De Gea made the save of the game from Weiman's header.

Yes , we'll said, we gave it a real go and there were plenty of positives.

Like I said, they didn't dominate us at all. We could have easily have had a third and looked dangerous everytime we went forward. So did they, but then so they should.

I'm sure you were delighted when they got the winner.

There will be no more snide comments like that either.

I think that the point is  that we seem happy to accept defeat to them on the basis that we had a go. Some of the comments epitomise what is wrong with Aston Villa, happy to accept defeat.

Except no one has said that. However if Villa are to lose a game I prefer it if we give it our all rather than just roll over. I'll take a performance like today over a 7-1 drubbing at Chelsea any time.
The thing is I was there and at some point you just become numb, where as today you have this massive hope thing and then feel like a Christmas Turkey, plucked, dressed and gutted

These comebacks are no fluke by now - Manchester United came back to win from two or more goals behind for the seventh time in Premeir League history - more than any other club.

This is the third time they have achieved this feat in the last two years and first since the 4-2 victory at West Ham in April 2011.

I recall the 5-3 win at Spurs when they were 3-0 down as well. It's part of the history of the club.

Like all on here we are just sick of the plucky loser tag that we get against them, it is thier favourite ground dont you know. I dont give a shit about how well we played, the idea that if we play like that every week we will be fine, we wont. No we reserve these sepecially interesting games for the Sky TV viewers and confirm every time that the decision they made (those sad glory hunting wankers that no fuck all about anything)to support Man Utd was the right one. I am fucking sick of it. Thats all.

Hawkeye the ownership and management of our club have bought into this Sky TV bullshit for 20 years as have many of the fans. We had a chance to be one of the elite 2 or 3 times during/since that time. We mucked up most recently under MON. I don't give 2 farts for ManU - they are an easy team to support. Ask the twunts who support them if they support USA at Olympics and Brazil at the World Cup

I'm proud of them and it makes me feel this won't be the result we expect from this game in future. Had Scholes not fallen over we'd have been 2-0 up at halftime. I know we lost but we are on the up and they are slowly on the wain.

Just in case anyone missed it and fancies dishing out personal insults or snide comments.

I will not ask again for there to be no insults. It will be a straight ban. Hopefully that is plain enough for no one to be in any doubt about it.

Decent performance but I'm getting annoyed with our inability to concentrate for 90 minutes, their winner is an abysmal goal to concede, there's no way he should have got there first.

Our narrow back four give me the heebie jeebies, we give wingers so much space but to be fair, it looked for a while like it might work.

We were plucky and created some good openings but we have to get more clinical, stop giving away needless free kicks. Positive signs with some of our play but we really need to cut out the concentration lapses, that's where we came unstuck tonight.

Not seen his name mentioned yet but credit where credit is due, what about Enda Stevens, thought he had a good game tonight and considering the number of games he has played for us looked very promising.
