Like the Manc gloryhunter at my local gym who reasons that United are a 'global' club and their supporters come from everywhere, you are likely to be sat near a plastic Manc on Saturday evening wherever you are in the ground.

Unfortunately, they're like rats.  You're never more than ten feet from one.

That night of the FA cup game has to go down as one of my disappointments following the Villa but more from a personal points of view more than anything else. Despite all the disappoints I've experienced watching the Villa this was the only time I have ever lost it.

I had been lucky enough (if thats the right word) to be invited to watch the game in one of the executive boxes in the North Stand as a guess of a business we were looking to strike up a relationship with.

When I turned up there was five other people there and guess what ALL of them fucking Man U 'supporters'

There was this one guy in particular a really annoying, argogant, patronizing little shit - 'Man U this, Man U that, how shit Villa are blah blah blah' in my face all through the pre match meal with his snide remarks and patronising attitude.

Amazingly he seemed to lose his voice when we were 2-0 up, it was time for me to seek my revenge but wisely I had decided to keep my powder dry after all this was Villa, and Man U do have this irritating habit of coming back. How wise that was as we all now what happened.

Hardly surprising then that when Man U's 3rd went in MR MAN U suddenly found his annoying southern accented voice again. Jumped out his chair shouting some incoherent abuse directed at me.

Well the red mist came down and I just twated him there was a little scuffle but nothing really bad before we were broken up and I decided it was time I left.

Needless to say I was never invited back.

Some clown on the row in front of us was a Liverpool fan who had a ticket in our end.

5 minutes before kick off he popped on his scouse hat and scarf. Unfortunately for him this was at the exact time a flag was being passed in our direction.

The flag was held in place for a short time whilst he took a hiding underneath it.

Talking of flags, I meant to mention this at the time but completely forgot (sigh, old age). Anyone know why they never used the flag on The Holte before the Norwich game? They brought it out, unfurled it, stood there a while then rolled it up again and took it away.

The stewards didn't realise that it was only Brigada flags that can't be flown
