I'm amazed Martin and others thought we didn't deserve to lose. Villa knocked the ball around like a Premier League side. They had pace, movement and fluidity in what they did.

We looked a one paced, huff and puff side in comparison. We look like we struggle to string a few passes together. Very poor.

I was at work all day and got home late.

Did you see that embarrassing fidgeting ferret in the second half , he is an embarrassment and I would be cringing if he was still at our club. Horrible man.

Anyway , nice to see Lambert start with the right players . Ireland needs to play , our results are good with him in the team . Westwood looks really good.  Nice to see gabby score , now push on .  Benteke again causing problems, Guzan , Lowton and Vlaar look good. Proves Delph and Albrigton should be nowhere near starting.   I was absolutely over the moon yesterday with a grin all day , even thou second my heart was beating fast and loud  . I was proud .

I'd always rated Adam Johnson but he looked gash today.

Pube head is good at buying players for a lot of money and then turning them into a turd with big wages.

Very happy with the win and Gabby getting a league goal. This midfield of ours looked good, creative, tough and tidy. Next weeks will test us of course.

Interesting that Sunderland are above us in the league but very unhappy with MON and we - worried about relegation- are shouting Lamberts name to the rooftops. Quite right, we are moving forward, trying to play footy and prepared to give him time.

Sunderlands goal attempt stats are apparently the worst in Europe and they are very poor, so happy or not this morning we have to be realistic.

Work in progress arn't we. But progress it is. And Martin didn't give us a wave, I think Sunderland will give him one goodbye,  that'll give me a sleepless night....

I thought we looked good yesterday. Kept the ball well and passed it round nicely at times. Not oversure about Weimann out wide but let's hope Gabby goes on a scoring run now beause he needs to. As for MOTM, Benteke was really good in the first half but i think Ireland just about edged it.

Well there's a shock. MOTD make it look like we robbed Sunderland. Funny, the match I watched we could and should have won by 2 or 3. And they mention the support of the Sunderland fans, also funny, at about the same time in the match they mentioned it the stream I was watching showed Sunderland fans leaving with 17 mins to go. No mention of the booing either.

And finally, it's not Pubey's fault, oh no, it's all down to the players. 3 wins in 23 is all the players fault.

Was just about to post the same thing. Looked as though it was all Sunderland, not how I remember the match at all.

To be fair, apart from our goal, I think Sunderland carved out the better chances, which is reflected in the MOTD highlights. When you've only got a 10 minute slot, you're hardly going show a succession of corner kicks that come to nothing.
