The Blackburn fans must be delighted with this.
From Steve Kean to AM.
I won't go so far as to say I feel sorry for them.

I think his style of football is suited to the Championship.  It won't be pretty, but give him a team of willing grafters and he will get results at that level.

His style is suited to Blackburn and suited more for the Championship. It's a decent match for him. Good luck to him. He's not a bad bloke he was just way out of his depth here. The players showed a lot of commitment (without quality) for us early doors under McLeish, but seems that he just lost the morale in the dressing room completely as too many went missing 2nd half of the season.

I think he'll do okay for them, just as long as they don't mind yo-yo-ing.

I will be displeased if he gets them promoted and we go down.

Apparently the mail and espn both reporting Harry redknapp in talks with Blackburn today and sources close to him say he's very interested in the job.

Bit northerly for 'arry surely?
I suppose if the bird-breeders have enough dosh for him to wheel / deal with, he might be interested but I'd think he'll be waiting for the call from QPR.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2225042/Harry-Redknapp-Blackburn-interview.html

The proposed appointment has been hailed as 'sensational' by current caretaker Eric Black.
'Harry is a top manager, right up there in the top echelons,' he said. 'It would be a sensational appointment for Blackburn Rovers.
'Harry has proved it over the years and he’s worked at the highest level – what he sees as a challenge or deems to be a positive is up to him.
'But he’s certainly an exceptional manager.  He’s top, top quality candidate.'

Rumours this morning that Diego Maradona is in line for the job!!  Personally I think they'll appoint Henning Berg.

Apparently the shortlist is now Redknapp, Holloway and Berg. So sounds like they've avoided Mcleish.
