Sky are linking AM with the Blackburn job LINK (http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8204718/)

poor fuckers
-
Just when they thought it couldn't get any worse!
-
Marriage made in hell
-
Marriage made in a chicken abattoir!
-
Phew that's a relief. I thought Bromsgrove Rovers had started again and were getting lumbered with him.
-
Venky's and McLeish...strewth.
-
Quality football ahoy!
The Rovers fans are in for a real feast of free flowing, attacking football.
Let's hope he'll take Lord Hutton of Wetherspoons off our hands
-
Not surprised, he'd fit the job and I reckon he'd do well there.
-
Hope Rhodes likes it in midfield
-
Well there you go, there's always someone who is worse off.
-
At least it's not Melchester Rovers.
See the Venkys have learnt from theirs and our mistakes
-

He's over the moon at the thought of bringing his special stuff from Villa (via Vasey) t'Rovers.

I am not the blokes biggest fan but was this Saturday and last Saturday any better than what was served up under TSM ?
Instead of taking the mickey out of Blackburn , we need to start worrying about our own back yard .
And if he gets the job , good luck to him .

Come on we need a bit of humour to get us through this. Saturday was appalling, but I've actually seen Lambert getting his side playing good stuff and I never saw that from Mcleish.

Now as much as i never wanted him or loathed the time he was with us - thats not technically true
Chelsea away
Arsenal at home (when we all thought he finally got the "attack at home" idea)
Norwich at home when he out managed PL - oh dear i just realised what i wrote
Wigan at home
-
Might be a good club for him and would stand a chance of promotion- the Villa job was never suited to him and too big for him, Blackburn is more of his level and I think he would do ok there.

How many threads can you currently see that are doing exactly that? I can see plenty. Maybe if this subject isn't to your liking you can go to one of them?

Out of the frying pan, into the blast furnace.
-
There chickens have come home to roost!
-
Good luck to him.

Sorry that's true, I should have been clearer. I meant more over a sustained period, I saw Norwich play good football on many occasions last year and in the Championship. Whereas with a few isolated performances excluded, Mcleish's teams were always dour and dull.

Thanks for that - want to try telling me what I can and can't post on there as well ?

You say we should worry about our own backyard - my point was we are doing that. As for telling people what they should and shouldn't post weren't you the one that started it?
-
Christ, poor Rovers fans eh. Haven't they suffered enough?
-
Best of luck to him/them.
Bit of a U-turn after them ditching Allardyce in the pursuit of 'attractive football' and by doing so casting themselves into the wilderness of the Championship.
-
Good luck to him.
He may have the last laugh yet with Rovers replacing us in the Premier League next season.

Lets hope not big dick'
-
He got Blues promoted so it may not be the daftest idea, as a short term measure. It won't be pretty to watch, mind, and they should jettison him straight away if they go up, or they will come straight back down again.
-
Out of the frying pan, into the blast furnace.
or the tandoori oven, mmmm
-
From "Big Eck" to "Wee Hen"
-
AM has a very good record at that level, I bet they come up.
-
Fuck Blackburn. Fuck AM.
-
The Blackburn fans must be delighted with this.
From Steve Kean to AM.
I won't go so far as to say I feel sorry for them.
-
I think he will do a good job for them.
-
I think his style of football is suited to the Championship. It won't be pretty, but give him a team of willing grafters and he will get results at that level.
-
His style is suited to Blackburn and suited more for the Championship. It's a decent match for him. Good luck to him. He's not a bad bloke he was just way out of his depth here. The players showed a lot of commitment (without quality) for us early doors under McLeish, but seems that he just lost the morale in the dressing room completely as too many went missing 2nd half of the season.
I think he'll do okay for them, just as long as they don't mind yo-yo-ing.
-
I will be displeased if he gets them promoted and we go down.
-
Apparently the mail and espn both reporting Harry redknapp in talks with Blackburn today and sources close to him say he's very interested in the job.

Bit northerly for 'arry surely?
I suppose if the bird-breeders have enough dosh for him to wheel / deal with, he might be interested but I'd think he'll be waiting for the call from QPR.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2225042/Harry-Redknapp-Blackburn-interview.html
The proposed appointment has been hailed as 'sensational' by current caretaker Eric Black.
'Harry is a top manager, right up there in the top echelons,' he said. 'It would be a sensational appointment for Blackburn Rovers.
'Harry has proved it over the years and he’s worked at the highest level – what he sees as a challenge or deems to be a positive is up to him.
'But he’s certainly an exceptional manager. He’s top, top quality candidate.'

I actually offered two blackburn fanc Mcshit last year when we played them, how ironic if it happens
-
Rumours this morning that Diego Maradona is in line for the job!! Personally I think they'll appoint Henning Berg.
-
Apparently the shortlist is now Redknapp, Holloway and Berg. So sounds like they've avoided Mcleish.
-
Redknapp on sky now saying he's not imterested for the rovers job.

I guess he just realized it is not an hour from the Sandbanks.
-
FYI reports in norway, say henning berg is likely to be next rovers manager.
-
Well at least I suppose HENning Berg is a good fit for the chicken farmers.
Shame though, I thought ex Villa boss ca-Jun Gr-egg-ory might've been worth a shout.
-

He is presumably taking a break from his auteur role at Dogme 95.

i feel more upbeat after watching a lars von trier film than i do after watching villa.

It's a done deal according to Squawksport.
-
It's a bit of a coop.
-
It's a bit of a coop.
Big risk , putting all their eggs in one basket, not a done deal yet so hope they are not counting their chickens before they are hatched.
-
If it falls through, Steve Cockerel's still available.
-
Will the crowds come back ? I am sure he will fillet
-
They will be lining up two a breast.
-
McLeish can go and cluck himself as far as I'm concerned.
-
He was certainly feathering his own nest here late last season.
-
Berg will give the players a good stuffing if they don't comply with his orders.

He's great on Fighting Talk
-
Presumably McLeish will be one of the front runners for the Scotland job now.

But think of the exciting, attacking football they'll play.

Actually, if they ever start pre-qualifiers for the World Cup and European Champs it might be possible for McLeish to relegate them to the same stage as Luxembourg and Lichtenstein.
-
Now he's tipping Strachan for the Scotland job and saying he prefers to stay in club football.
Who's gonna have him?

Didn't know where else to put it or start a new thread, but more interviews from McLeish in what seems to be whoring himself out for getting a job
