Quality football ahoy!

The Rovers fans are in for a real feast of free flowing, attacking football.

Let's hope he'll take Lord Hutton of Wetherspoons off our hands

I am not the blokes biggest fan but was this Saturday and last Saturday any better than what was served up under TSM ?

Instead of taking the mickey out of Blackburn , we need to start worrying about our own back yard .

And if he gets the job , good luck to him .

Come on we need a bit of humour to get us through this. Saturday was appalling, but I've actually seen Lambert getting his side playing good stuff and I never saw that from Mcleish.

Now as much as i never wanted him or loathed the time he was with us - thats not technically true

Chelsea away
Arsenal at home (when we all thought he finally got the "attack at home" idea)
Norwich at home when he out managed PL - oh dear i just realised what i wrote
Wigan at home

Might be a good club for him and would stand a chance of promotion- the Villa job was never suited to him and too big for him, Blackburn is more of his level and I think he would do ok there.

Sorry that's true, I should have been clearer. I meant more over a sustained period, I saw Norwich play good football on many occasions last year and in the Championship. Whereas with a few isolated performances excluded, Mcleish's teams were always dour and dull.

Best of luck to him/them.

Bit of a U-turn after them ditching Allardyce in the pursuit of 'attractive football' and by doing so casting themselves into the wilderness of the Championship.

He got Blues promoted so it may not be the daftest idea, as a short term measure.  It won't be pretty to watch, mind, and they should jettison him straight away if they go up, or they will come straight back down again.

I think his style of football is suited to the Championship.  It won't be pretty, but give him a team of willing grafters and he will get results at that level.
Title: Re: AM to Rovers?

His style is suited to Blackburn and suited more for the Championship. It's a decent match for him. Good luck to him. He's not a bad bloke he was just way out of his depth here. The players showed a lot of commitment (without quality) for us early doors under McLeish, but seems that he just lost the morale in the dressing room completely as too many went missing 2nd half of the season.

I think he'll do okay for them, just as long as they don't mind yo-yo-ing.

Bit northerly for 'arry surely?
I suppose if the bird-breeders have enough dosh for him to wheel / deal with, he might be interested but I'd think he'll be waiting for the call from QPR.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2225042/Harry-Redknapp-Blackburn-interview.html

The proposed appointment has been hailed as 'sensational' by current caretaker Eric Black.
'Harry is a top manager, right up there in the top echelons,' he said. 'It would be a sensational appointment for Blackburn Rovers.
'Harry has proved it over the years and he’s worked at the highest level – what he sees as a challenge or deems to be a positive is up to him.
'But he’s certainly an exceptional manager.  He’s top, top quality candidate.'

Actually, if they ever start pre-qualifiers for the World Cup and European Champs it might be possible for McLeish to relegate them to the same stage as Luxembourg and Lichtenstein.
