The other side of Glasgow though is that football and religion aside it's one of the nicest friendliest cities around.

Some light comes through the gloom.

I'd definitely agree with that, Rangers and Orangemen aside.

The fact that Green named us is irrelevant. All he is doing is trying to shift £20 million of shares by suggesting to investors that the reward for a three or four year odyssey through the backwaters of Scottish football will be something other than the perennial Old Firm yawn-fest that eventually brought the original club to its knees.

Why didn't Barry take the penalty?

Did you know there is a French Band called Aston Villa?

Perce-I think we've already done how Mark Walters, the families of the Warrington and Omargh dead and British forces might feel about the 'folk songs' and banners in this shangri-la of the oppressed masses. Celtic might not have been so brazen about their particular brand of hatred but its there and they can keep it.

They should both stay where they are.

Not purely on sectarian lines. There are many Protestant Celtic fans. Alex Ferguson springs to mind.

Percy, he supported Rangers as a boy, but is married to a Catholic.

Dave: yes, three.

PW: no excuses about the treatment of Mark Walters, disgusting.

The rest of your post refers to the response of a population to imperialism and oppression. Does a subjugated people have the right to self-determination, or to engage in armed struggle against invading forces? What if Germany had won WW2? Would there have been an English equivalent? I'd like to think so.

If so, would they have been in a position to engage in conventional warfare? I doubt it.

In The Secret Footballer a run of games against Fulham, Wigan and Aston Villa is described as '9 points' if you are on form.

Ok, so he then says but start to look difficult if you are in need of a win but it does help illustrate how we have been seen within the game over the past couple of years.

Lambert will instil that winning mentality again and the rest can all feck off.

"These days Arsenal are struggling to sell out their game against West Ham".

If he is referring to their recent game then it was at Upton Park and not at Arsenal.

Eejit.

Pretty sure they got 60,000 for their League Cup game against Coventry, which is quite astonishing really even with price reductions.

Whilst I would agree thats somewhat over the top my typical english sense of fair play can't help say that we haven't covered ourselves in glory with our involvement in Ireland over the last 400 years.

I have nothing but contempt for Rangers.  Fancy getting your tax avoidance that badly wrong.  Amateurs.

Subjugate: to bring under control and governance as a subject, esp. by conquest.

Nonsense? Over the top? A simple matter of fact?
