The fucking tweet was so small time too. Even if it was a big player we were about to sign it would still have been small-time and unprofessional.

Three years ago we were heading to a League Cup final, probably had the best midfield in the Premiership and looked like we could challenge the big boys.

What a difference three years can make. I'm starting to forgive MON too. We didn't realise what clowns he had to work under. He's a twat but Lerner's behavious since makes MON look like a saint

Well David Pleat has just spoken highly of Dawkins on Five Live.

Problem is, unless he's Messi he's not the type of player we need.

Yeah i know, i'm just trying to put a positive slant on it.

So, QPR sign a defender, Wigan sign a defender, Reading sign two defenders.  Aston Villa, with the worst defence in the league, sign no defenders.  Absolute criminal and deliberate sabotage if you ask me.

Maybe I should change my signature to Lernanomics or Lambonomics?

At this moment, I'd rather have a massive brick-shithouse of a defender.

Lerner wants us down, right?

That has to be the plan? They reckon it's the only way to clear the wage bill and start again? There is now way any owner would allow this to happen unless they were embracing relegation in pursuit of some long-term strategy. It is madness, utter madness to think we could stay up as we are with these additions.

They don't see the folly of this and how next year's TV deal would solve the wage Bill instantly?

I'm pretty sure it is the plan. I just think that the Premier League has got too rich for Lerner's blood. The frightening part is, just how far is he prepared to allow us to fall?

I think it's now quite clear that the club is prepared to get relegated.

They couldn't do a better job if they tried.  If you wrote this up as a plot with Randy as a secret nose and Lambert as a boggie you'd get laughed out town because it was to implausible.

I've felt low after individual matches in previous years but I think for a prolonged 5-6 week period this has to be the lowest I've felt about Villa in my lifetime.

Total garbage, we are going down.

That's the thing it's so bad it can only be deliberate negligence.

We are all set for a Championship promotion challenge. Now, what to do for the next 7 months...?
