A fucking group of baboons would do a better job of running the club than our board. If you put a series of choices in front of them they might guess one right occasionally, our board wouldn't have a fucking chance.

I am horizontal on the sofa with a glass of wine! Cut the piss taking for a moment, and let's do it in baby steps, who have we signed?

A French kid from their second division with one U21 cap, cant mind his name, big ****** though. A 25 year old nobody from America, his mom cant even mind his name. All the experience and steel is being kept well under the radar for now.

We're doomed.

Just checked my emails. Who the cunting hell is Dawkins? Isn't he the worlds most aggressive atheist?

I'm not so sure. They aren't that stupid.

This is deliberate. Oh and actually I'm wrong, it is also stupid ;(

Simon Dawkins has been a very, very good player in the MLS - and the MLS is more or less the standard of the Championship. So, he's come to the right club.

It's not that i have anything against this signing (mind you, if he does well for us, once more we'll have the honour of polishing a rough diamond for Spurs), it is the signings that we have not made.

I can't believe anyone can look at our squad, as demonstrated over the last dozen matches, and not see the screamingly obvious need for a bit of experience in the middle, at CB and possibly at LB, too.

All we've done to address those needs today is buy another lower leagues player (from a different country, mind), an attacking mid / forward, and get shot of one of the left backs we already had.

We've done nothing, absolutely fuck all, to address the weaknesses that have been so obvious for weeks.

I am honestly utterly, utterly gobsmacked.
Go smacked you may be but you can't have a strategy of building from young up and coming players an than introduce walk in mercenaries  ad hoc!
Sorry but that is just rubbish.
Quality players;necessary quality players; experienced quality players, do not have to be mercenaries.

Only since Hitchens died. And there's still Bill Maher, but he's not that smart.

Hawkins and Sylla could prove effective! Hawkins can add bait of width and sylla a bit of solidarity.  Lamberts signings make sense given the position and if they come off then its been great deals. Certainly no point going down qpr route as they have too many players to make sense. Anyway lets see what happens. Only Bowery of the signings hasn't come off and he has had much playing time...

So you don't think a centre half was more important given the goals we've conceded recently?

Just listening to Radio 5's French reporter say that he's surprised Villa paid so much money for Sylla, as he's not really rated in France. Dear oh dear!

What about signing experienced players who aren't mercenaries?

Lots of other clubs seem to manage it.

We are building for relegation. Pathetic.

Which according to Fernando is just what we needed, so that's alright.

Problem is, unless he's Messi he's not the type of player we need.
