It was on Twitbook that he was after Patti Andrews but she died in the night aged 94.

And the very eloquent French journalist on 5live just now reckons the one player we have signed is overpriced.

He's Phillipe Auclair and he's very cheeky at the best of times, and when he admits he's being a bit cheeky he's being very cheeky. The point is that it's a clear risk, and we're clearly operating at the transfer level below Newcastle, because he's about a division below Sissoko, apparently. Makes you weep.

Hawkins and Sylla could prove effective! Hawkins can add bait of width and sylla a bit of solidarity.  Lamberts signings make sense given the position and if they come off then its been great deals. Certainly no point going down qpr route as they have too many players to make sense. Anyway lets see what happens. Only Bowery of the signings hasn't come off and he has had much playing time...

Bennett..? KEA..?

Simon Dawkins has been a very, very good player in the MLS - and the MLS is more or less the standard of the Championship. So, he's come to the right club.

It's not that i have anything against this signing (mind you, if he does well for us, once more we'll have the honour of polishing a rough diamond for Spurs), it is the signings that we have not made.

I can't believe anyone can look at our squad, as demonstrated over the last dozen matches, and not see the screamingly obvious need for a bit of experience in the middle, at CB and possibly at LB, too.

All we've done to address those needs today is buy another lower leagues player (from a different country, mind), an attacking mid / forward, and get shot of one of the left backs we already had.

We've done nothing, absolutely fuck all, to address the weaknesses that have been so obvious for weeks.

I am honestly utterly, utterly gobsmacked.
Go smacked you may be but you can't have a strategy of building from young up and coming players an than introduce walk in mercenaries  ad hoc!

I still can't believe we got Messi and Xavi. Well done Randy and the Pauls.

Genk fans said he was rubbish, in fact! He might be the exception though.

Dan Gosling from Newcastle United for £2 million?

where it all started  :-[

I keep accidentally clicking on page one and get excited. That's how far we've fallen, I still don't really know who he is but I think 'great, we're signing Dan Gosling'.

Lerner wants us down, right?

That has to be the plan? They reckon it's the only way to clear the wage bill and start again? There is now way any owner would allow this to happen unless they were embracing relegation in pursuit of some long-term strategy. It is madness, utter madness to think we could stay up as we are with these additions.

They don't see the folly of this and how next year's TV deal would solve the wage Bill instantly?

So he immediately sprang panther like for Eamonn Andrews but alas he was likewise brown bread.

Just imagine some names. It is so much better than the reality.

Right, just got home from work and haven't seen a thing all day, due to meetings.

Who have we signed and who has gone?

Yacouba Sylla is confirmed and Simon Dawkins from Spurs via Leyton Orient and San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS on loan.

You were better off at work in blissful ingnorance
