So what's the general consensus on Villa's moves in this transfer window?

Simon Dawkins has been a very, very good player in the MLS - and the MLS is more or less the standard of the Championship. So, he's come to the right club.

Just out of interest, which is more confusing: the McLeish appointment or today's transfer activity?

Lamberts next press conference will be interesting, i bet he says we enquired about a number of players but they all wanted more than 50.000 a year.

I know it is incredibly, incredibly childish, and a bit bad, but this on twitter just made me laugh more than it should have done

There's still another 1 hour 18 minutes to go and there might yet be another signing... unlikely but let's wait and see

McLeish by a country mile. At least we know today that we don't have money. The McL appointment was and still is unfathomable.

I'll be impressed if he can correctly pronounce 'bottle of beer'

Not overly happy with Business but looking around not much has gone on unless your QPR and your giving CB's 100k a week.
Still I would have liked a CB

They are running villa into the ground.

It could take a very very long time to recover. We used to be ahead of a lot of the current top four, now we are well, well below the likes of Stoke, Fulham and Norwich.
