@MatKendrick: I've heard the looming loanee signing is a player Paul Lambert has been monitoring for a while, so the #avfc gaffer clearly rates him

@MatKendrick: Still waiting for confirmation, but @Matt_Law_SM usually knows his stuff (when he's not choking on a negative book, that is!)

Its alexi lalas

What staggers me is that it took thirty one days, two cup exits and four losses to bring these players in

Two hours to go chaps and I suggest we contact QPR and put in a bid for Arry. Get the paperwork cleared by 22.00 and then Arry can sign 40 players for us by 22.45.

Including at least 20 centre halves!

and several wingers.

But dont tell Mumbles

My money is on Dan Gosling - Lambert's been linked with him several times prior to this window

I don't understand why the transfer window doesn't just last 24 hours.

It's genuinely hard to imagine the management doing such a shite job if they were doing it deliberately.

That's it.

I find it hard to believe that the never ending omnishambles of the last three years is the result of people actually thinking they're doing their best for us.

Woeful incompetence.

What is worst is the club hinted at it as if we were going to get excited by this signing FFS! They really are out of touch!

I find it staggering there's not one centre back or midfield behemoth on the whole of the planet we couldn't bring in. It's a genuine mental block with Lambert, it has to be. Why bring in a loan like this that will probably hardly play and will make no difference to our weaknesses if he does?!

aye, its mental. Lampchop must have seriously looked at our defence and gone "nowt wrong with that, lets get another forward in"

Nobody was after a superstar. In fact, the kind of grafters we needed in key areas were likely to be low key. But this is a farce.
