Guardian reporting Palacios story too. Wouldn't mind but CB more vital now.

Another centre mid would'nt go amiss but yes a centre half is what's needed really.

I think we need both, but Palacios would be a very welcome addition.

I think he can grow a beard as well!

So, is Wilson any cop?

According to wiki Bruce called him the new Ince. I think he meant it as a compliment and not an observation on the size of his ego. Mind you would you take a recommendation from mr. Potato Head?

I'd forgot he played for Small Heath.

Pacalios and sylla will add strength and steel to midfield ,  a centre defender  next priority .

Simon Jordan seems to make sense on Sky.

Best thing he ever did was fund the wonderful movie "Telstar".

great movie

Let me just check, earlier only having signed a kid in midfield when we needed experience was a mistake.  We get a link to an experienced centre mid and people are moaning that we don't need him.

Is that about the mood on here now?
It's about priority. If we assume we are making one more signing, then CB more important now considering Dunne probably won't play again.

Well, I suppose it's fair to say that a stronger midfield will help our defence look better than they have done (although hardly addresses the set piece problem), but whether a lad from Ligue 2 and Wilson Palacios are the players to do that, I don't know.

Nothing to do but hope like Hell they are, really. From Lambert's comments, I'd say we can expect to see Sylla starting for us pretty soon. Maybe he and Palcios will play as the '2' in a 4-2-3-1?

You know, the formation where we slightly less shit.

Good. If we got Palacios in and an experienced defender I would be pleasantly surprised but still disappointed that we went into six pointers against Wigan, Southampton and Newcastle with such a weak squad. We might have left it too late. Seriously have to start picking up wins.

Wow. I only went away fer me tea and returned to find Warnock off the wage bill and Palacios en route. If I take my time over pudding, will we have a known centre back 'pon my return?

Dunne won't play again? He had a setback on Tuesday he didn't lose a limb.
