Guardian reporting Palacios story too. Wouldn't mind but CB more vital now.

Another centre mid would'nt go amiss but yes a centre half is what's needed really.

Remember Wilson Palacios? Could catch on as a nickname if he signs

Lambert has played a blinder not getting a centre half into the weakest defence in English football. Total blinder.

He is a right tit.

Pithy and true.

Is it time to wave the white handkerchiefs  against west ham?

Yeah if your a quitter!

In protest at the people running the club ?
Or just  carry on regardless and accept our fate ?

All that will do is knock their fragile confidence even further, they need our support now more than ever. There will be plenty of time for recriminations at the end of the season.

@TelegraphSport: #AVFC are in talks with #SCFC over the signing of Palacios. Stoke have signed Brek Shea, the US international (and probable anagram ...)

Last seen standing on the edge of an 18 yard line wondering just how the fuck did the Villa manage to concede another corner.

Correct.

Hope you're well Chris.

Palacios hasn't been the same since one of his relatives was kidnapped and killed. But if it is a loan then not much risk. Hopefully he will know it is last chance for him and will be reinvigorated.

Our midfield is as bad as our defence. I'd be happy if we give Wilson a go. Him and our Graham has gotta be better than the current choice

Must be an improvement - get ba in from porto and it will give us a lift.

Speaking of Stoke and centre backs, Matthew Upson is signing for Brighton with Scott Dann lined up as a replacement.

I think we need both, but Palacios would be a very welcome addition.

Let me just check, earlier only having signed a kid in midfield when we needed experience was a mistake.  We get a link to an experienced centre mid and people are moaning that we don't need him.

Is that about the mood on here now?
