Jari Litmanen anybody. Just seen it as a possible on another sport forum.

I tried so hard to sign him on Championship Manager 98

I'm going back earlier than that, Mike. Thinking Sensible World of Soccer.
What a game!! Remember Kick Off on the Amiga 500?

How could I forget it, mate. Kick Off 2 and Player Manager were superb!

Great games.  The 20 year olds in our office are giving me the quizzical "you what, grandad?", they know nothing outside of FIFA

The problem is more likely to be when you're offering £20k per week in wages.

Trying to find link - was a mate who just called me lives in Norwich. He says was on BBC East radio. No idea how much truth is in it but he isn't a BSer usually. Id be shocked if he let Bent go unless he had someone lined up.

Bent going to Norwich!? Is there no-one with less money than us?
Yes
Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe says public account stood at $217 last week

Zimbabwe's Finance Minister Tendai Biti has said that the country only had $217 (£138) left in its public account last week after paying civil servants.

However, he said that the following day some $30m of revenue had been paid in.

Mr Biti told the BBC he made the revelation in order to emphasise that the government was unable to finance elections, not that it was insolvent.

Polls are due this year, with President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF fighting Mr Biti's Movement for Democratic Change.

Mr Biti has previously complained that diamond mining companies have not been paying revenues to the government.

The power-sharing government set up in 2009 ended years of hyperinflation by using the US dollar, but the economy remains fragile

Greetings Mr Fletcher

I bring you glad tidings of an opportunity not to be missed.  I represent the gvernment of Zimbabwe, and I need your help with a pressing matter concerning some public funds.  We have 200,567,892,345,756 Zimbabwean dollars (about US$217) we need to move out of the country.  For your part in this plan, we will give you the entire country to own.

Champ Man 2000 was my favourite one. I took Villa to about 4 consecutive Champ's League wins in that. Tonton Zola Moukoko scored something like 50 every season....

Pah, kids......I remember the original Football Manager on the ZX Spectrum, complete with stickmen action replays of the goals.  I lived round the corner from Kevin Toms who wrote it.
