Jari Litmanen anybody. Just seen it as a possible on another sport forum.

I tried so hard to sign him on Championship Manager 98
I did sign him on FM2013.  Aged 41, with a Pace of 1, I played him behind my two strikers and he ran the show.  And got injured a lot.

I had to quit CM/FM around 2005 due to a worsening Vitamin D defieciency, never did manage to sign him though.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say the the E&S transfer kitty thing is utter bollocks.

Maybe, Maz. And I really hope so too. But we know that the manager has been unable to pursue certain targets for financial reasons, so there are restrictions, and we know Sissoko was one of those, who cost £2.5-£3m (by all accounts).

No-one but three or four people know for sure, so there's a lot of guesswork at play but I haven't seen anything so far to suggest we've got much more than that kind of figure. Lambert has said we can't make a £6m signing. I don't think it's as high as £10m, or we'd have been in stronger for Sissoko IMO.

Palacios will be going to QPR surely? Former 'Arry signing and on big wages. Right up their street.

Sissoko was never going to come here , he refused to speak to qpr, he said he chose newcastle because of the large french contingent - also 6 yr deal .

Yes
Zimbabwe

bbc.co.uk/news

Zimbabwe says public account stood at $217 last week

Zimbabwe's Finance Minister Tendai Biti has said that the country only had $217 (£138) left in its public account last week after paying civil servants.

However, he said that the following day some $30m of revenue had been paid in.

Mr Biti told the BBC he made the revelation in order to emphasise that the government was unable to finance elections, not that it was insolvent.

Polls are due this year, with President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF fighting Mr Biti's Movement for Democratic Change.

Mr Biti has previously complained that diamond mining companies have not been paying revenues to the government.

The power-sharing government set up in 2009 ended years of hyperinflation by using the US dollar, but the economy remains fragile

You may be right.
So how much do you think we'll fork out then?

Some of the names mentioned on this thread are pure fantasy.

I thinks its more a case of who is available. But I wouldn't say having circa £10m to spend is out of the question. More if we let anybody go obviously.
The Dempsey bid in the summer wasn't a bluff. That money is still available I believe.

Of course, it doesn't mean we will spend all that but my god he's got to get a couple more in. At least a quality centre half.
Loans are always an option.
