Cant really see bent fitting in at stoke- a lot of highball up and under stuff - dont think he would be suited.

I can. They have Etherington and Kightly, who whilst aren't Ronaldo and Messi are decent wingers. I think a partnership of Bent and either of Crouch and Jones could work with wingers supplying them.

He is better suited to their system than what Lambert seems to want to play.

A bit harsh. He also signed good players at Liverpool and won a truckload of silverware with them. Also, Makoun was hardly used as Houllier fell ill before really getting a chance to build his team. He was after some players who have gone on to be very good indeed so maybe we shouldnt write off what he has to say.
