Harry was late into work this morning. He was delayed when he stopped at the security camera on the gates of his luxury home "Backhander Grange" for a natter.

120k a week, 12.5m for Samba.

The world is beyond mad. He is a good player, but Blackburn were leaking goals with him and Nelson last season before he left.

It's absolutely disgusting and Redknapp and QPR are a disgrace.

Blows us out of the water if we find ourselves competing for players with them.
If he wants diame he will get him.

As I said some time ago, I wonder what might have happened had he brought in a no. 2 who commanded a bit more respect than McAllister. He could have done the training ground and touchline stuff with Ged sitting in the stand.
What I couldn't fathom was why after Houllier left they did a complete about face in terms of style and strategy by appointing McLeish.  I was bewildered at the time and still am really.  I genuinely have no idea what they were thinking.

When Martinez wasn't for swaying again they must have hit the panic button. Still, unacceptable really.
The biggest mistake in the last three years of bad ones and bad luck.

Of all the mistakes made by Lerner and Co. (and there are plenty) that moment they did a complete u-turn on the direction and, I would argue,  progress,  under Houllier's reign and went for McLeish, was the main thing that brought us to the current desperate position.  It was beyond incompetence and in the realms of insanity.  There's been no proper explanation because there is no explanation for something so utterly mad.

Think there was a simple explanation = money. Under Houllier it was obvious most of the existing squad couldn't play his style of football, so they went back to Hoof! It would have cost them a fortune to replace half the squad if we'd followed Houllier with a manager with similar ideas. Admittedly it doesn't explain why they chose TSM, just the type of manager.

Samba is/was a decent defender, nothing more. That is just fucking crazy. A nonsense.

So Eastie, if we're paying 2m for the french NRC, that means 8m left to spend, yes?

This is why the extra TV money isn't as big a deal as it should be.  The clubs aren't going to get richer, the players will just demand more.

The lack of any form of salary control in football is going to destroy the professional game, far too much money being put into football but going straight to player and agents without actually improving anything.

Implement a salary cap and Premier league match tickets could all easily be reduced to a maximum of £10 and money spent by the clubs in local community projects could be increased significantly.  As it is you get 19 year olds, who played 10 games and are multi-millionaires driving round in sports cars.

No idea greg, but i would think at least that as a minimum.
Certainly would expect another 2 or 3 today.

No because they're just doing an exaggerated version of what happened to us. There's no way their income can sustain that spending. So no 'if you have the money spend it' is nonsense and will threaten the long term future of the club.
