Swansea agree fee with  mboro for danny graham - strange one that.
Jenas and bentley both taking medicals at qpr .
All. Quiet at bodymoor heath.

So there's hope for us yet then!

Whatever is Arry thinking about?. Jenas and Bentley?. A double headed cast iron disaster waiting to happen. Yes Crouchy and Samba would be great signings but those two are the type that Mark Hughes would have signed.

I feel quite elated depending if Mumbles comes up with anything today.

Hope springs eternal!

From the Sun...zzz

"Lambert is also weighing up a last-ditch bid for Chelsea outcast Florent Malouda.

The France midfielder, 32, would add vital experience — although his wages could be a problem."

Whatever Trevor....

'Arry will have a squad of 78 players and a wage bill of a squillion pounds a week at this rate.

But a special fuck you going out to Sky. You can shove your clockwatch, fundraiseresque total count, idiots with mobiles pretending to know something and your big ben graphic right up your bloated mudwhistle.
Oh, and I thought that the  coverage was up-to the minute, correct, non-rumoured news this very exciting transfer day.

Who needs signings by the way - its all about the youth of today :-[

ahhh..whatever happened to Musical Youth....

After being forced to sit out the last window, I bet Harry has got the Range Rover gleaming like a new penny, electric windows checked to make sure they haven't rusted shut, and Sarrndra has put nice creases in his shirt so that his elbow out of the window looks smart.  I love the 31 January.

Yes, although I'm thankfully not at home to suffer it, a big fuck you going out to Jim "Foghorn" White, Harry "Mr Transfer day" Redknapp and all the chavs that are standing outside their club's training grounds (you sad pathetic twats).
But a special fuck you going out to Sky. You can shove your clockwatch, fundraiseresque total count, idiots with mobiles pretending to know something and your big ben graphic right up your bloated mudwhistle.

Oh yes, and I've just switched to Virgin again.

Now let the madness begin. And for those who are viewing, keep us updated on boobwatch.

Great post Mazrim - sums up the day perfectly...especially the chavs outside training grounds (always Stoke)

Ok so we have finally acted in an area we were desperate for players. Why it has taken this long to get a French Ligue 2 player in is unbelievable.

He fits the Lambert mould but at least he on the face of it appears strong and physical which we need.

We still need to get in two more for me. Another strong midfielder on loan or short term -nrc or palacios. Would cost very little money.

Then a CB.

I would keep Bent till the Summer cant see anyone coming in for him now. If Stoke do id rather have player swaps than cash.

As I said some time ago, I wonder what might have happened had he brought in a no. 2 who commanded a bit more respect than McAllister. He could have done the training ground and touchline stuff with Ged sitting in the stand.
What I couldn't fathom was why after Houllier left they did a complete about face in terms of style and strategy by appointing McLeish.  I was bewildered at the time and still am really.  I genuinely have no idea what they were thinking.

When Martinez wasn't for swaying again they must have hit the panic button. Still, unacceptable really.
The biggest mistake in the last three years of bad ones and bad luck.

Of all the mistakes made by Lerner and Co. (and there are plenty) that moment they did a complete u-turn on the direction and, I would argue,  progress,  under Houllier's reign and went for McLeish, was the main thing that brought us to the current desperate position.  It was beyond incompetence and in the realms of insanity.  There's been no proper explanation because there is no explanation for something so utterly mad.
