To be fair to the kid, he was linked with Fulham and QPR last month so I doubt he'll be any worse than what we currently have.

Pat Murphy said we've paid £2m for Sylla, who's a six-foot, very physical DCM, and that there's at least one other "iron in the fire." Let's hope so, but it's good news at last!

Thinking of the 'Bent to Stoke' talk, I would hope that in the event that the deal brings one of theirs to VP it's N'Zonzi we're asking for and not Charlie effing Adam!

I'd prefer N'Zonzi, and I think Adam flatters to deceive.

But I can't see them letting N'Zonzi go.  He's more their kind of player.  And Adam -even if he goes missing on occasion- would represent an upgrade on our current options. 

TBH, I think it's unlikely any players on those kind of wages will be coming in though.  I think it will be one or two more like the lad from France. Namely, players on wages we could still sustain if we drop down a division.
