Well we will try to move Ireland so we can pay 2 players wages with his wages.
Who would want him on his wages?
He doesn't want to be here
says who ?
His body language all season.
I'm surprised you could see his body language considering he's spent most of the season either on the bench or in the stands. As our side have been scoring goals for fun ...
Without wishing to state the obvious, if we're playing swaps with Stoke can we not just have Crouch back?
Yeah, he's only 32 and certainly isn't a striker that thrives on service like Bent .... DOH
The only reason stoke could get bent is crouch going to qpr.
Liverpool complete the signing of that Brazillian playmaker . ;(
I'll say it again, very promising player but why the hell would we at this moment in time be interested in another pint sized midfielder? It seems we've got a plethora of them already and £8.5m and no doubt £40k pw.
Maybe because hes a lot better than the ones we have?
Put your house on that, would you? He's not played a game yet.
Are you saying bannan, Ireland , herd etc are better than coutinho? Ridiculous.
You know what my point is, and you know that's not what I'm saying. He may be good on Football Manager, but he hasn't kicked a ball in the Premier league yet, didn't make an impact at Inter or on loan last year at Espanyol. He may have potential, but to state it as bona fide fact that he is better than what we have seems premature

This is what I don't get about the Bent thing.Anyone would think we'd be pulling up trees without him.We have been bloody awful and the lowest goal scorers in the league.
I would tell Stoke we want Palacios, Upson and Jones and Adams plus 5 millions for Bent and Ireland
What do you think.
I think you're clearly mad if you'd want any of those four anywhere near our club
Four older prem experienced players plus 5mill (maybe three if upson's injuries persisted) for two, one player of which can't be arsed for us and the other doesn't suit the style of play the manager is trying to instill...if it were real i'd bite both their hands off.

Could well be another aquilani...just a bit cheaper.

He's featured in 18 of our 31 games this season, and not looked like he has given a fuck in many of them.
I'm glad Depeche Mode's new single has come out, as that has taken me away from the depressing news surrounding the Villa
Any good? My favourite band....
Would you like a link Sir? (Mods is this allowed?)
It's fucking awesome in my opinion. Very slow and Beatleque and hints of the 70s. The b-side is very 80s ala Ultravox. Some fans love it and some are hating Heaven
If Bent goes and no-one comes in then Lerner and Lambert should be shot.
Randy wants another fat cheque to put in his bank account which needs topping-up as the balance stands at a meagre £1.1Billion. Yes, he's a Billionaire in £££'s now not $$$'s. You need to appreciate that these are hard times......

Well he equalised against West Brom and was promptly dropped afterwards. What message does that give him?

Not when you look how poor our midfield are.

Someone put the stats up a few pages back that proved Benteke has scored more goals per game than Bent. When you add in what else he brings to the side and also that you'd probably lose Weimann's goals in setting us up to service Bent, then I think it's one thing Lambert has got right this season.
