The guy on WM (Paul Franks?) reckons he's heard nothing about signings and reckons we won't make any. I'd be pleased to see him wrong but Lambert has made his choice and it's been obvious for a while. We've needed new blood since the Chelsea tonking and it hasn't been forthcoming. I just don't think the lack of activity is anything other than the manager's strategy. If it wasn't, I'd have expected either of the following to happen:

1) Lambert to appeal to Lerner for meagre funds, gets knocked back and quits in protest/lets slip his frustration in a post-match interview or press conference
2) Lambert searches frantically across Europe for precisely the players we need, works his way down the list until he happens upon a gem from the Albanian Division Two who's earning ten bob a week who is delighted to join a club in what's supposed to be one of the best leagues in the world.

The fact that we haven't even had a concrete link to a player, signed one by pure fluke or been told in not so many words by the manager that the whole thing is out of his hands points to Paul Lambert being the man responsible.

He should have spent the money weeks ago- stubborn git is playing with our future with his risky strategy, too many points dropped!

yep. Any manager who starts with that midfield and isn't complaining to the media about transfer funds, is either a total yes-man or insane.

Nothing in the morning papers regarding transfers.
Lerner has accepted that we'll relegated by the looks of it. We're going down without even a fight. What that man Lerner is doing to the club is criminal. The sooner he sells up and gets his sorry arse back to States the better.

Yup been no solid links for weeks.

Talk about going down without a fight.Simple truth is this window clubs like Wigan and Norwich will get players in ...utter shambles.I look forward to the day Lerner sells up, at this rate it will be celebrated more than Doug leaving

This season is a write off for Dunne then, probably played his last game for us.

I would feel a little better about things if it was guarenteed him and Vlaar would play the last 15 games of the season. It wouldn't be perfect but I think things would be better organised particularly with the full backs.

to be honest Dunne's been fading for a long time now. It's more hope rather than expectation that he would make any real difference

If I was cynical I would say the bloke was never fit but that the club were just trying to detract from the need for signings by pretending he was.

Tom Ross said on the radio tonight that Dunne is back in full training, but isn't ready yet because of the length of time he has been out.  It must of been one hell of a groin strain he picked up!!

Your forgetting Rossnose shout's goal when it's a throw in.It was after the game Lambert said it.
