No wonder he went there as he'd probably have only been on about 15k at Toulouse!

Diame will be this window's Dempsey I'll quite confidently predict.

I'd be happy with Makepeace in that midfield

We should scrap the football element and launch ourselves as a scouting organisation. Find all the right players, make the parent club reveal their valuation and then open the field to other clubs, like we appear to have done with Sissoko, Coutinho, Cabaye, Dempsey...

A lot of Tottenham fans on Twitter can't stand Dempsey. One even posted a message on BBC Sport to the effect that they get worried when he gets involved in their attacking play. It'll be pleasing when they're back in the shit in a few years, the smug twats.

Agree. He will never come here now.

We need to have others scouted and be bidding, even if they are lower league IMO. Get 2 strong midfielders in ASAP.

If true Dunne has broken down again too, we need to get a centre back in on loan or bought on the cheap. Upson would do - or surely Henke can find Rob Huth's uglier, bigger cousin!

Also, anyone reckon in the merrygo round we will sell Bent and buy Holt? Just a feeling.

We've been doing that for years Curious.  We did it with Les Ferdinand back in the 90's and Paul Robinson (the keeper) in the early 00's.

Said it before but I'd go for Scott Dann, Danny Murphy and John Arne Risse. Very little outlay and would help us no end.

If Lerner gives the  useless numpty any money before the transfer window ends he's a fool. Rather stick with the existing players. Relegation probably, but at least we won't have wasted any more money when the new guy eventually tries to pick up the pieces in the championship

How about Crouch to QRR, Bent to Stoke and Charlie Adam to us plus cash?

Dann and Riise yes. Murphy is fine but you still need an athletic big guy to win and dominate the ball. Diame is perfect, just won't come!
