This Birdcunt at Brighton keeps being mentioned, is he any good?

I think he will lay an egg if he comes here.

If we are to go for a cheap lower-league midfielder, then it may as well be Trotter. Just for his physical presence if nothing else. Wasn't great against us but our team just bounced off him whenever he had the ball.

Del or rodney?

We need experience - Uncle Albert!!

Del boy as manager, Rodney as DMC? It could work.

If Diame had a choice between Arsenal, and staying in London, or Villa i think we know the one he would choose, don't we ?

Yes. HS2 will make travelling to London a doddle from the Four Oaks riviera.

I've said this a few times but Bannan needs a free role. He'd look a much better player for it.

Maybe play him central in the 3 of a 4-2-3-1, with Zog wide right and Weimann in the role Gabby's been anonymous in recently, cutting in from wide left. He also works ball-buggeringly hard, so would provide decent support to whichever of our terrible, terrible left-backs is playing.

That's my thinking on it.  Put Westwood and a big physical presence in the middle behind them and tell the full backs to bomb forward to overlap when nzog/weimann cut inside.

His Bentley may make it easier to.

There was a three man challenge on a Blues player at the Sty a couple of years ago. I think it was Warnock, Collins and Dunne. The three went in at the same time and I thought that the ball was likely to burst. The Blues player must have shit himself. That is the commitment we need. For too long last season, we had people moaning about Hutton being a dirty player. The first job of a full back is to tackle. If you have to put the frighteners on the opponent in the process then so be it. I can't remember fans of Liverpool and Chelsea complaining about Tommy Smith and Ron Harris respectively. There is no room for powder puff football when you are in the mire like we are.

Huttons problem wasn't that he liked a tackle, it was that he was late far too often.  Lets not glam him up as a superstar who we're going to miss terribly, this is a guy who could easily have had 4-5 red cards last year for lunging through his man after the ball was gone.

As for Warnock, he's been dropped because of his attitude not his ability, as I've said before, if half the rumours about him are true then I want him nowhere near the team, aside from that, he was hardly playing well, probably not as badly as Bennett has at times but not enough to overlook the fact that he's a wanker.

And they're both walking free kicks.

The last thing we need to bring into the team are two masters of the mistimed tackle.

With our current defending at set pieces putting Hutton and Warnock back in the side would be suicidal. Glad we've got rid.

So what role for Uncle Albert :) He like to destroy things, so is he an attacking midfeidler with wayward shooting with lot of goals :)

Lots of noise on Twitter about Malouda being a done deal. Whilst I feel he has something to offer the team, there are more pressing matters that need addressing.

Malouda? That's a wind-up. He's semi-retired looking for the last big pay-out, surely.

Did we tell him he will be playing at centre back?

He's 32. I dont think he's quite ready for his pension yet.

But he left Chelsea for a pay out at home. Not that I'd object to his signing at all, certainly not on age, but I thought his mentality was the semi-retired one. I'd love that not to be the case.
