All I could think of when reading that, was Martin Samuel being picked last and put in goal.

The BBC gossip says a few clubs are after Benteke.  If we sell him this week the lot of them can feck off.

We cannot sell him now as played for 2 teams already this season but I think he will be gone in the summer whatever division we are in as we are a selling club now/currently

When we do sell him, I would hope that the money would immediately be spent on a top striker. That won't happen of course.

I think he would only go in the summer if he asks to leave , unless relegated of course.

Why didn't Barry take the penalty?

They're all be going in the summer if we go down (well the decent ones). Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. Probably be going if we stay up with this board.

Possibly right greg but i think if we stay up they would not want to lose benteke, he would maybe have to force the issue

I think they'd be doing every thing they possibly can to get rid of him, the financial situation is bad enough without the money we'll lose by going down.
I think we'd be looking at a fire sale and a small one at that, we haven't got a lot of quality.

If we go down he will go , but if we survive we may get another year from the beast.

And how do you think we could attract a top striker after selling Benteke? Why sell one then try to buy another?

I don't think we can attract one. That's one reason why I said it won't happen, the other reason being that Lerner would pocket the money anyway. They won't have any say about selling him or not. If a few clubs want him, he will go to the highest bidder.
